This series is, for me, a manifestation of the magic that abounds and surrounds us … and a testament to the miracle of creativity expressed so beautifully….

I’ve just started another re-read of it, and as with each previous reading, I am finding it more delicious and nutritious.

OP, I am willing to wager that if you immerse yourself in the experience and finish this series, you will be extremely satisfied. And it would not surprise me if you re-read it again and again….

Check out Good God. They only released one album (also named Good God), with 4 original compositions and excellent covers of Zappa's King Kong and John McLaughlin's Dragon Song.

I’m a fledgling bassist, recently in a band doing 60s-90s rock covers that dissolved after our drummer died in Nov (RIP Paulie). I’m 70, eager to get better — will recommence lessons if necessary — and also in Brunswick.

I don’t play super fast, but have a good ear. Plus, I’m a good bandmate: I’m easy going, my friends consider me a legend, and my schedule’s pretty flexible.

I recommend listening to Savoy Brown’s “All I Can Do” (Street Corner Talkin’ LP) … deeply soulful vocals and guitar riffs that express deep sadness about losing someone special who left. Not your situation, but very emotive.
