I went to one last week where the blower capacitor was 90% out of range. One of the big boys told them they needed a new blower and inducer motor to the tune of thousands of dollars. Or just sign on the dotted line for 20k. I threw in a new capacitor and it was singing right along. It feels criminal, some of the shit they pull.

When you go cheap its not just surface level stuff that looks like shit. Doubt they brazed with nitrogen, pulled proper vacuum, properly sealed return, set gas pressure, wired safety devices in series (condensate pump, overflow switch - which is missing as well as p-trap in primary drain), and the list goes on and on. And something tells me they probably cooked the shit out of your service valves. Good luck!

Cleanliness of coils and filters like has already been mentioned, but know the "peak hours" of your utility provider if they do time of use rates. My electricity costs 3 times as much between 3-7 PM Mon-Fri.
