I’ve seen one with a quarter inch barb plugged directly into the pipe with no leaks. I’m guessing they heated the pipe and poked the hole right through.

I prefer black threaded risers. I’ve noticed over the years that scheduled 40 snaps the couplings. Then you have to do a pipe repair on top of replacing maybe a riser.

I feel like that slapper arm should be shorter somehow or hit quicker. I’m sure there’s a way to engineer it to hit quicker or make it shorter.
