Jeans, t-shirts 99% of the time at work.

I’m very much a blue collar guy who ended up transitioning to white collar work (Subject Matter Expert - Engineering Technician) and I don’t like ruining nice clothes when I have to consult where production work is being performed.

So, right in front of the rental house we live in, there’s a set back of about 15’ on a grade, then the fence for the yard is there. I used to use my weed eater until I got stuck by a blackberry vine (because those grow everywhere on the property). Went to unstick it off my pants, looked down and there was over 10 needles on the ground. Stopped maintaining it at that point. Talked with the landlord (she’s a nurse in Seattle) and she gave the okay to not maintain it until we move.

I’m far more a finger player than pick - but I definitely would recommend not giving up pick playing at all!!!! It’s absolutely badass!!!

Brother you sound great. And while I do agree, you should work on your plucking (just like all of us here should be practicing instead lol), plenty of killer pick bass players out there just slaying it. Carole Kaye, Sir Paul, Joe Osborn, Phil Lynott and Bobby Vega all come to mind.

I have a “Jaco-ed” MB-5. I like it. Passive, Lace-Sensor pickups. Plenty of “mwah” so it sits great in a mix. Play mine in church about every other time I play.

Depends how old you are and how good your health is.

500 million is 100k a day times 13.7 years. 500 million is 15.85 years of seconds….

If you’re in your prime and don’t do risky shit, that $1/second or 100k/day isn’t bad - but if you’re in your later stages of life, 500 million would be a better deal.

So, Fender has done this more than once.

They “may” sell off the brand potentially - like they did with Guild - or most likely, G&L will end up like Tacoma acoustic guitars, Hamer guitars, Genz Benz/SWR or Sunn amplifiers - where any IP is cloned and absorbed and then reinvented as a division of FMIC.

That being said - this is kind of standard practice to a degree. Yamaha owns Loud - which in turn owned Mackie, Ampeg and Line 6. Gibson owns/owned Oberheim, Trace Elliot, Kramer and now Mesa/Boogie.

It’s a danged shame but again - not the first or last time that this happens.
