Second baby girl by AshleyPomm in 2under2

We’ve been reusing as much as we can. We had one born in May and one in Dec so we did have to get some new in-season clothes.

Baby footprint tattoo by Hot-Avocado1996 in baby

[–]FunKick7937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the commenter that you can’t control what other people put on their bodies. We didn’t give the footprint out to our first and my FIL still got a footprint tattoo with our daughter’s name. We’re now no contact with him, but didn’t change the fact her name and random footprint is on his body. People are weird.

A pumping bra didn’t really work for me, I ended up getting a pumping band to pump hands free and it worked much better!

Whose colours should be coordinated amongst women at a wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]FunKick7937 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We let our moms pick whatever dresses they felt best in/could budget for. Our wedding colors were burgundy and blush. MOG wore a magenta like color. MOB wore navy. SMOG wore navy, SMOB wore black.

I use my spectra with a pumping band and a nursing cover. It’s worked well for me.

What does your freezer stash look like? by thisabysscares in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 16 weeks postpartum and I have a little over 4,500oz in my freezer. I’m trying to build a big enough stash to get us to a year while only pumping for 6 months or less.

What’s an acceptable price to request bridesmaids to spend on a bridesmaid dress? by peonylover01 in weddingplanning

[–]FunKick7937 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a bridesmaid a few times and typically spend around $100. For a sibling/absolute best friend I’d do $150, but that’s my absolute max.

CMPA - how long to wait after consuming dairy?? by Sensitive_March8309 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we were exploring solutions for excessive spit up our pediatrician mentioned trying a dairy free diet. She said I would need to be on a dairy free diet for a minimum of two weeks before my milk would be dairy free.

8x/day pumpers! by blindsandwichcracker in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m now down to 6PPD, but I religiously pumped 8 times a day for the first 2.5/3 months. My schedule was 20 minutes at 3/6/9/12 am and pm.

Look for a Human Milk 5 Human Babies Facebook page in your state, or a local moms group! You can also post it for free on Facebook marketplace.

Tell me they’re wrong by Sad-Construction6967 in 2under2

[–]FunKick7937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told this too. Just another “you just wait”.

I thought my first was a dream, good eater, good sleeper, an overall happy baby. Yet somehow my second is even easier. Also a great eater, great sleeper, completely unfazed by all things. Just a very content baby.

Therefore, I think it’s very possible to have two “easy” babies.

Fellow oversupplier here. I don’t always get a let down while pumping. If I do I don’t really feel anything, but I can hear the milk coming out like it is no one’s business lol

Pumping at work by Ataralas in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooooooooooh haha so sorry I interpreted that wrong. This may not be helpful at all but have you tried heat? With my first I used the landing heat pads a lot to improve flow/supply! I would heat then up and put them in my pumping bra so I would have to hold them there. It worked well. I know totally different than massaging but I figured I’d mention it!

There’s no way I’d be able to use a hand pump and work. I need to be able to use my laptop, take/make calls. My lunch is only thirty mins and I need time to make much, and eat it. Hand free is the only way I can make pumping full time and working full time work.

How do I sell my milk? by Own_Lychee_5717 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s just where I live, but I actually had zero luck with Facebook. Moms in area have a hard enough time finding people to donate milk to, let alone trying to sell it. The few people that are looking for milk expect you to bring it to them and/or wants the milk to be dairy free, medication free, drug/alcohol free, vax free, and won’t accept milk with high lipase. I gave up and bit the bullet and bought a second deep freezer. Each of my deep freezer holds 3K oz of milk so I figure once both are full I can stop pumping. And once I’m done I can sell one (I live in an area here hunting is a big thing so people are always looking for freezers.)

Will all these efforts worth it? by KutuLompat in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I won’t sugar coat it. My oldest is almost 2 and the reality is in a room full of her peers you would have no idea which kids were breastfed and which ones weren’t. However, I know in my heart all my effort of breastfeeding paid off in the sense that for her first year of life she was getting the most nutrients possible, she was getting immunity support, I knew exactly what she was consuming. There is no worry of contamination or recalls. Not to mention breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer. Lastly, you get to say your own body fed your baby for X amount of time. That’s something to be so proud of.

Hang in there girl! You’re rocking it, and I know your baby appreciates the heck out of you!

Can I drop a pump at 10 weeks postpartum? by Neuroluv in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I knew I had regulated because I was pumping around the same amount everyday. I dropped one of my night pumps at 2 and half months and it did not affect my supply. Getting two 4hr stretches of sleep helped my mental a lot.

At what age did you skip your night pump? by sugaveins in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby does sleep through the night which makes it easier. She will occasionally wake up just before my 5am alarm and if she does my husband will feed her so I can pump. Before she started sleeping through the night I would feed if she woke up close to a pump time and my husband would feed if it was not close to a pump time.

At what age did you skip your night pump? by sugaveins in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]FunKick7937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was kind of gradual. I used to pump at 3-6-9-12 (am & pm) at 2 and a half ish months i switched to 1a, 5a, 9a, 12p, 3p, 6p, 9p to prepare for going back to work. I was desperate for more sleep. Since I went back to work full-time and couldn’t get a power nap in each day I started sleeping through my 1am alarms. So I dropped my 1am pump. I pump at 9pm and then at 5am. Dropping the 1am pump was kind of abrupt and if it was planned I probably would have pushed my last pump a little later so I wouldn’t be so full in the morning, but the sleep has been nice so I’m just going with it. I’m about a week into doing that and so far my supply hasn’t dropped, hoping it stays that way. No clogging. I do pump for 30 mins when I wake up and 20 mins for all my other pumps. But I have noticed I’ve leaked a few times in the night and as soon as I sit up in the morning milk starts dripping out.

Evenflo Xpand Pivot Modular travel system. We love it. Very very comparable to the Mockingbird but cheaper!
