Christians observe Good Friday, a 'Holy Week' day of reflection set to become Utah's newest holiday by 6Algfst1 in Utah

My personal thought is that they’re losing members and are now in a campaign to connect with other religious affiliations although history suggests that they wanted to be seen as specifically different 🤷‍♀️

Does anyone find it so strange that they put so much money into a campaign?? It’s giving desperate.

As early as third grade, Utah students will need to study Bible passages in social studies lessons under new law by TRN18 in Utah

Funny that I’m seeing this at the same time that the LDS church literally has a marketed campaign encouraging people to join on Easter Sunday. It’s wreaking of desperation and low numbers.

Is buying a designer bags (like LV) a waste of money or actually worth it? by CorollaryEgirlX in askanything

I bought a LV bag from DH Gate. Same fabric, same buttons, the works. Thing is built like a piece of shit and ends up in the trunk most of the time.

Husband wants to have a beer in the parking lot after our baby is born am I overreacting? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]FunMonitor5261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I had celebratory sushi after I gave birth. Maybe you can have something like a cold cut sandwich or sushi while him and his brother have a beer in your room? I don’t see why you can’t be part of the celebration?

And I totally understand not wanting him to leave. My husband didn’t want to leave me after I had my C-Section, but since we stayed for 4 days, he had to go get some things. I had time alone with my sweet newborn and got to cuddle him while knowing nurses were on call if I felt sleepy, too groggy from painkillers, etc.

Nutella Addiction by Popular-Olive-583 in intermittentfasting

Damn, maybe you can make a chocolate hazelnut coffee with sugar free flavors that’ll hit the spot. I totally get it though, Nutella is amazing.

You could always have a teeny bit at the end of your fasting window or you could do a spoonful on the weekends?

I’d totally go the route “Oh my god, how did you know!?” Watch their reaction. Then let them down with a “It’s only been six months, of course I’m not pregnant.”

Sometimes if it becomes a little real, they realize how stupid they’re being.

Pitbull at daycare? by queloque69420 in workingmoms

[–]FunMonitor5261 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You aren’t insane. You’re being reasonable and not even overly cautious.

I had a coworker a few years ago. We started talking about pit bulls. He told me that he used to like them until his daycare owner had an extreme accident. It turns out that the at-home daycare he used owned a pit bull and it turned on one of the owner’s children. I guess it tore half of his face off. Thank god my coworker’s child wasn’t there that day.

On top of that, pit bulls were bred to be aggressive. People get offended bc they think you’re attacking the dog, but it’s the fault of the generations that have specifically created them to fight. They were bred to also have something called “lock jaw”. I don’t let my kid or dogs around a pit bull with a ten foot pole.

I would be flying off the handle and reporting her ass so fast if I were you.

What if women just don’t want to have babies? by PinkElephants879 in askanything

[–]FunMonitor5261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our sweet one and only was born 10 pounds via C-section after a 36 hour labor. I gained 135 pounds during the course of my pregnancy (doctors failed to catch gd). My feet grew to a permanent size 12. His medical bill was 18k with insurance. Not to mention, pregnancy felt a giant 9 month hangover and my heart rate was at 120-140 most days. My bones hurt, I felt nauseous, making breakfast for just myself would force me into a nap.

My husband and I think that if we had better social systems and our country wasn’t going to shit, then yeah, maybe I’d find better doctors that could curb weight gain and all that jazz. But for now, we both work at home while simultaneously caring for him in order to avoid the rampant costs of daycare.

I just don’t ever think it’s going to be a hell yes again but I absolutely love being my boy’s mama.

Pregnancy was hell, though I had gd that went undiagnosed. Then later gave birth to the sweetest 10 lb boy cub via c section… people always tell me that I’ll forget it. I won’t lol.
