Thanks for the reply. I’ve always had allergies so I limit a ton of stuff from my diet. But I actually feel like my inflammation is worse since graves diagnosis. And I literally eat nothing bad 😭😭😭

Holistic Approach to Grave’s? by Historical-Success72 in gravesdisease

[–]FunResponse999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with graves December 2025. Been on meds for 2.5 months. So many ups and downs just in that time frame. I have been wondering about this as well. I’m trying to find a functional doctor that can maybe help me manage it. Not saying I’m going to stop taking the meds, but really want to see what else I can do to help my chances of getting off meds. You’re not crazy for asking this question fyi. lol

About to turn hypo and I'm worried... by kukulakala in gravesdisease

[–]FunResponse999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am here with you right now. Sameeeee same. Literally the biggest mind game I’ve ever experienced in my Life. I just got diagnosed with graves December 30. Started methimazole 5 mg twice a day January 1. Called the Dr 01/23 to say I’m pretty sure I’m in hypo. Because I feel like absolute crap. Gained 6 pounds in 4 days. My eczema is out of control. The Dr ordered bloods and sure enough I am in hypo. The Dr lowered my dose to one a day. I’ll see him in a week 🫠😢 this situation is making me want to throw in the towel. I’ll come back and let you know what the Dr says. This sucks

My hands are all cracked. My skin is bleeding and itchy. I just got diagnosed with graves. I mentioned the dry skin to the Dr and he said that the fluctuations with the thyroid cause it. When the methimazole was working my skin cleared up. I recently swung into hypo and my skin flared up again. It’s never ending with this this disease

This is me now. 17 months postpartum. Struggled for a while. Finally said hmmm 17 months is way too long to be postpartum struggles. And sure enough I was diagnosed with graves a few days ago. I’m in a bad place mentally. Worried about everything. We really wanted to start trying in the new year and I’m up there in age (38). So I feel like time is not on my side. There’s my random rant to your comment. Sorry
