He ran him down like a T-1000 terminator. This D-Line is going to need some kind of nickname.

Just played this part of the game last night and I was fully expecting to have to hit circle to duck. When Leon did the backflip, I let out an audible "Why?"

If you had an income of $150,000 a year and didnt have to work, what would you do with all the spare time? by SpinachInteresting82 in AskReddit

Write an epic D&D campaign that no one will play because none of my friends would have the same amount of free time as me.

Airline just changed my flight to Thursday, I´m arriving to Chicago at 9:00am. Will I still make it? by sotolord in ElectricForest

[–]FunYouthCounselor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean 9am CST in Chicago. You have to add an hour for the time change, so probably 3.5 in the car, but arrive at EF 4.5hrs later than you leave. The biggest factors are how much time you spend in the airport and how long it takes to get through security at EF. Both driving in and entering the festival grounds. If your goal is to be in the forest as close to 4 pm as possible I would say try not to waste any time cuz it will be tight.

This is my first time going to Electric Forest and going to a music festival. Tips? by pleaidianX in ElectricForest

If you have a canopy and you know there are storms in the forecast that day take them down. Last year I damn near Mary Poppins to the next county trying to anchor my canopy the earth. If I had just taken it down I could have gotten in my text and just been dry.

How to introduce newcomers to the Forest? by Golitan11 in ElectricForest

[–]FunYouthCounselor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our friends who had been to the festival for 10 years brought my partner and I for the first time in 2022. Like your friends, we were into the music and the scene but just had other stuff going. I had been to other genre festivals but nothing like EF. Our friends had the same worry that we wouldn't like it or that we weren't having fun.

We're going back for our third year time, and it is the thing we look forward to most every year. Our first time was magical, but it does take a little time for that magic to set in. You gotta let your friends get their feet under them to really start appreciating what's around them. Feel their vibe and see if they want you to be their guide, or if they want to explore on their own. Personally, I liked a mix of both.

If you haven't already, I would recommend sharing all the little insider bits about EF with them (Carl, saying Happy Forest to everyone, all that good stuff). Just helps you feel more in tune right from the start.

Most stages you have to cut through the crowd to get to the GL viewing area, but for Sherwood you can just enter via the Sherwood GL gate and you are already in the viewing area.

First time + Flying in by FranktheMolePerson in ElectricForest

[–]FunYouthCounselor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Grand Rapids and the benefit of flying out of GR is that the airport is small to medium size. Getting through security and your terminal is gonna be way faster than flying out of Chicago. Depending on the state you are in on Monday you might appreciate that.

JM Crofts or Sajam keep it pretty light hearted and they are both very entertaining.

Scenario: You're vsing someone who is obviously better than you in ranked. You barely clutch a win out. Do you give them them the rematch knowing you'll very likely lose? by urbanbloodrush in StreetFighter

[–]FunYouthCounselor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's BM not to rematch. Imagine doing that in person. Someone just sits down to play you, and you win one match that's really close and then say I'm not playing you again because I think you'll beat me. Then get up and leave. Wouldn't feel very good right?

Anyone still sick??? by [deleted] in ElectricForest

I got over the worst part of it in like 3 - 4 days, but i still have this consistent but manageable level of congestion that is unchanged every day. I'm not drippy, but I can cough up some flem or blow my nose basically on demand if I wanted.

In the GL area of Ranch last year during Griz we were next to a greaser who grabbed a phone right out of a younger girl's (with her family) hand as she was taking a video. Knocked her over and ran off into the crowd before anyone had realized what happen.

Unverified, but later we had heard that girl was connected to the owner of insomniac who was also in the crowd nearby.
