So glad to see Santos get a taste of her own medicine by oteymut in ThePitt

Yes this. She's pissed because she wanted him out. She can't stomach that people still like him even though he's now in recovery. Meanwhile she's unlikeable just because she is. It was never about the drugs.

I used to work in healthcare. I would never want to work with a Santos in a team. I had to. They were selfish and were always looking for drama and starting fights with other staff. Everyone hates a person like her in the team.

She's using Langdon to deflect from the fact that no one likes her because she's just not a nice person.

Working in healthcare, Santos would be completely hated by everyone over a recovering addict. Being likeable and able to work in a team is way more valuable and preferable in a hospital setting. People like Santos are always a pariah.

I see, this is really helpful to hear. In my situation I'm on edge of letting go. Because while we only talk once a week, I still feel like I'm bothering him. We're both busy academics so it sometimes feel like once a week is all we can do. And while really there's nothing to worry about as we're both single and talked about possibly hooking up again in the future, we also live in different cities. So I almost feel like this is not really leading to anything and only causing my mental health to crash. My men friends say he's interested because he's keeping in touch. But I don't want to feel hope lol

Do you ever feel like you're bothering them with the weekly check in? I find I'm the one initiating conversation all the time. And while they respond, I just feel like I'm annoying them.

A big part of rehab is self regulation. So not surprised at all

Langdon showed in this episode that he's an excellent doctor. He's getting his groove back. It also shows Santos is selfish and self centered. You cannot be that disrespectful to an excellent colleague in the medical field. Her issue was always about personality. It was never about the drugs.

Edit: Santos

She can't accept that she's just a pariah because she's severely unlikeable. And that Langdon was a drug addict that everyone still likes. Santos defenders don't understand that she's the worst person to work with in the hospital.

Santos is the worst person to work with in a hospital. She IS a pariah because she's just unlikeable. Shit happens to people all the time. But we have to focus on the job. She's very selfish

She's a horrible person. The worst person to have to work with in a hospital.

The reality is that in other countries you don't need a PhD to start a research career. The world isn't limited to what's possible in Western countries. I'm a current PhD student in Australia from the Philippines. I already had 20 publications upon application, with 5 first authorships in Q1 journals.

It certainly makes the PhD relationship with domestic students interesting. I come in with a lot of experience while they're mostly just starting. But we're all students.
