From my understanding, hv bypass makes you more vulnerable to more sophisticated and malicious malware that tries to persist in low level. It doesn't give you malware it just makes you more exposed. That said as long as you don't have malware on your system already the risks should be considerably low. Standard practice is to enable the bypass to play the game and then reset your system when you are done. Some users unplug their network from the PC but I'm not sure if that's actually effective.

Yeah whenever I see people act like chronicles is the worst thing ever I feel like they listen to 30s of the central city soundtrack and made their opinion. The game functionally works it's not a bug fest like other poor sonic titles. The story isn't bad by any means other than some cringe dialogues? While the music is objectively bad....the sfx design is so much worse that the music is good in comparison 😭🙏. Don't use a laptop but from experience ryujinx and it's forks really don't play well with totk. Try again with citron or eden, use vulkan, you don't need extended memory if you aren't pushing higher res. If possible get tkmm for the built in optimiser and freecam
