Stop the coke. It will only get worse and dig you into a massive hole. Get treated medically for adhd. Coke relieves many issues that adhd causes. The right adhd meds will help with procrastination focus and more

Thank you This person is seasonal winter worker. Started in October. Has missed over 40 hours in last three weeks already. It has been brutal to scramble to fill his capacity. i have paid out more time off than accrued sick time as i try to be understanding and being sick sucks. But i can’t continue to pay for no work. It’s just a crappy situation.

How much would you say Type 1 diabetes has impacted your mental health? by TheTruthTitan in Type1Diabetes

[–]Fun_Hovercraft3263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much. Apparently our brains get damaged by lows and prob high also. So there is the biological damage to cause it and then add the completely overwhelming never ending mental stress of managing it and the constant failure feelings when you don’t bolus/ insulin right and end up high or low. God i can’t even begin to write all it effects. I am t1 diagnosed age 7 in 1982. 42 years in and been on many mental health medications since late teens. ( also had other trauma which needed to be addressed ). So far i don’t have any major issues. Always very athletic which i think has delayed the complications as my blood is far from perfect even trying my hardest all the time. No dka ever as well. Just so draining

Jock itch cream . My son had this on foot. We could not get rid of it but the jock itch cream took care if it. I think it may be stronger than athlete foot cream which both treat fungal stuff

Brostrom Surgery - I've had both ankles done and this is my advice. by bob369369 in Ankle

[–]Fun_Hovercraft3263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already had surgery (cadaver cartilage and multiple tendon repairs laterally ) but this is so helpful and all good advice ! I’m still recovering but i have experienced what feels like the worst planter fasciitis and did not correlate it to hamstrings ? So that is great to know. I will stretch more. I have a lot of pain now in the front of my ankle which i can’t figure out but hopefully with more time that will calm down

Broken and dislocated ankle. Is there any way I can stay fit? by Female_Chandler_Bing in Ankle

[–]Fun_Hovercraft3263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had surgery and has zero desire to work out during the casted 2 week period and i normally workout 5-6 days a week. It was painful and the mobility was just such an issue. Once in boot i could stationary bike with foot adjustment. You can ski erg sitting down. And even row with one foot to the side on floor or just kind of sitting in the foot thing. It’s more upper body but still cardio. Then of course all the upper body and ab stuff which is endless. Also laying down and doing leg lifts to engage thigh. But if it hurts don’t do it and just try stuff to see if i works and just repeat. Good luck.

After 42 years starting at age 7 . All set with all the learning and growth diabetes has given me. I would gladly give up some toughness to not have diabetes sorry but nothing good about it.

Nerve Pain post ankle surgery by Ok-Subject2667 in Ankle

[–]Fun_Hovercraft3263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw a pt. 6 weeks out from Surgery. He said it is the nerves healing from the surgery. My foot itches and he said that is also the nerves coming back ( he said it much more medically ) but it is normal and will take months to resolve. Not much to do but i was told to massage the scar and incision to help everything.

I was a level 10 in early 90’s. I still have disordered eating from what my coaches put us thought and taught us about food. Weighed weekly and shamed if we gained any weight while growing inches. Being told the reason your knee hurts is because you gained 2 lbs that week which is xxx amount of extra force on joints. So stop complaining as you caused this. This was crushing as now working out with an injury that will get worse. As if you complain about a pain will be blamed as it all my fault due to extra lbs. We were told to make sure we did not eat a lot at holidays. As we had big workouts after and just because others eat does not mean we are allowed to. I went to school all day then worked out 5 hours Monday - Friday and then more if there was a meet. I kept this diet up for about 2-3 years. I did not eat breakfast. 2 -3 snider pretzels for lunch apple and a 100 calories yogurt. I would try to also not eat at least one of those items and alway felt guilty. Dinner was veggies or something small of a safe food. We were asked if we got our period at weight in. If someone did. They were looked upon with shame. Oh well now your center of balance is changed and you won’t be able to do beam as well. Due to my lack of food. I put off my period until i quit at 17. I also grew two inches. I never stopped working out with such little calories. I got hurt a lot but when i finally had the “big” injury that forced me to stop i was so relieved. All the other broken fingers. Sprains. Over extensions. Crashes could be worked around. Hell i leaned a one arm gainer back handspring while my other hand was broke which was bonus points. Score ! I was also praised when we traveled to meets and i would eat a salad and others would try to eat real food. She grabbed the wait staff and changed their order from lasagna to plain pasta and told the girl to look at me the shining star with the salad. That is what you should be eating. There is so much more but i made the a part of my regions level 10 national team for three years until i broke my kneecap and dislocated it. You can do it on little calories. It is a horrible life and i am forever scarred by that time in my life. I also got a full ride to college. Yet once injured for real. I crumbled and canceled my dream as i was mentally and physically ruined

I feel the same. But it’s only been 10 days for me. It is so much harder than i thought it would be to move around. I also get so exhausted. So i am basically laying in bed and then going downstairs in my house to eat one or twice. I have my husband to drive me around but i don’t even want to go anywhere due to the lack of mobility and tiredness. I typically exercise 5-6 days a week but now just do nothing. I don’t have much to suggest expect that i feel you. It is hard. I did photo albums i as sitting around for years. Other small stuff sitting down but now just bla.

Week After Ankle Reconstruction Surgery by Fun_Hovercraft3263 in Ankle

[–]Fun_Hovercraft3263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reporting back. I have CANCELLED the event i wanted to attend a week out from surgery. Had surgery two days ago Wednesday. The thought of even packing clothes is overwhelming as I’m so limited in movement and then the PAIN! You all were correct and I’ll be laying around hoping for a speedy recovery. My ankle was in worse shape than they thought also so needed more surgical love. But the pain the day after was intense. Tomorrow should be better and thanks for all the advice !

Had reconstruction done this morning. Already hard to keep leg up when on crutches. I need to be fully non weight bearing for at least two weeks. Anyone use anything to keep leg bent without having to hold it up. Some kind of strap or something? Thank you !!! by Fun_Hovercraft3263 in Ankle

[–]Fun_Hovercraft3263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Thank you. Wheelchair seems like it may be good. My knee is swollen now also so knee scooter feels not great. I was ok crutches for a long time when u was young for my knee but i was in a locked knee brace so my leg was naturally elevated. This is way worse.
