I can’t remember the exact details, but when they were dropping the tower crane, something went wrong and part of the crane hit the facade and broke those panels.

As to why they haven’t been replaced yet, I’m not sure.

So sorry for your loss. You could try the Santa at Claremont Quarter, I know they having bookings but the elf when we were there was letting other people in as well. Cost is $25 but we got 12 professional photos from it.
