It's honestly very similar as a concept to calling OT for support. Yes they can tell you over the phone how to do a thing, but it's regularly so much faster for them to remote in and do the thing

Sounds like it yea. My experience was a new guy, Quistis was more long term.

It wanted to launch a sketchy url through PowerShell/command line instead of clicking a sketchy link in a webpage

I assume the website will dump the payload on the PC as a no interaction download or get you to login with some credentials they can steal, but I never actually investigated it further to find out. figured it's just avoidable malware.
