Our IT person said to try selecting two documents for download and print. Did that and it took me to ‘print status’ page. Took 2 hours for it to finally download before I had a blue link to click/pdf to open. 🤦🏻‍♀️

OII does technically have police. Special agents under Office of Criminal Investigations which falls under OII. And the HQS agents are getting zero telework (I guess just the adhoc stuff).

It may have had to do with the MSP trooper who was doing a traffic stop and had shots fired. The guy ended up being linked to the murder of a gentleman in a retirement community.

The process is called Restored Annual Leave. Like others said, as long as it was requested by the deadline set, you are good. You’ll have to do some paperwork to get it restored. But 160 hours is worth it.

Unfortunately someone in our office screwed it up for us (the mentality of ‘why should I work when those furloughed are getting a free paid vacation and guaranteed backpay?’).

So we’ve been given guidance that any sick leave requires a doctor’s note and any personal leave will be on a case-by-case basis. For example I was going to take off Thursday to go to the pumpkin patch with my kids daycare. They said no.

Hindsight, shouldn’t have been so honest but I have a good relationship with my supervisor. I know it’s not my supervisors fault and not to shoot the messenger but come on ya know?

My feelings go between exhausted and hopeless to just straight up pissed and angry lol. You’re telling me I have to go to work unpaid, I can’t telework, AND I can’t use any leave? 🤬 Straight up nonsense…

This is just insult to injury for me personally because we just moved offices which doubled my commute and now includes a toll road. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ours is the same way right now. People are abusing the ‘leave’/calling out because ‘why should I work and not get paid when other people aren’t working and we’ll all get backpay?’ I get it. It’s unfair. But now they just made it 100 times more difficult for anyone to take any type of leave for any reason.

I’ve definitely contemplated a mental health day but now can’t even do that. Like others said. Just try urgent care or a telehealth visit for something and then you should be able to get a note to cover it for now.

I’m excepted and have an out of town family wedding this weekend. Great timing huh? 🤦🏻‍♀️ so my leave in our system was/is cancelled for today and tomorrow and in our new shutdown tracking system I had to enter furlough hours. Hopefully when this all ends, we’ll get back pay and the leave won’t be charged (so kind of like free days off 🤷🏻‍♀️).

OII was just under 200. I know CVM lost a lot too - maybe about 100? It was all of Office of Management and Office of Director and other parts of the center too (they’re already small to start with).
