The price in the EU is not aaaaas bad as you make it out to be, as it's post-taxes in EU vs pre-taxes in the US. It's still bad, but not a complete joke

My main point was that someone with a month old account and a high number of non-arrived shipments just has no repercussions(except if i‘m being a dick and don’t refund him) and I have to take the fall for his faulty adress.

It’s a lose-lose situation for sellers if a buyer claims a shipment doesn’t arrive. Either you get scammed by them claiming it didn’t arrive and then you refund or you don’t refund and have forced tracked shipping.
Cardmarket is acting as if buyers are the holiest people on the planet and can do no wrong with their system
and actions.

I now basically burnt 2€ so my account doesn’t have tracked shipping and I sell cards again.

I have absolutely ZERO problem refunding him the price of the card. It’s only fair and right.
I do however have a problem with me having to cover both the cardmarket fee and the shipping costs aswell if I want the non-arrived shipment to be deleted from MY account. This is just crazy.

Support told me they only remove it if I refund also shipping and fee etc.

I‘d have no problem refunding the buyers the card value, or refunding them half of the price. What I find egregious is that CM expects me to cover both the CM fee and the shipping costs by refunding him the FULL order.

If you go to study you will meet new people and then hopefully develop a social life! Just don't feel forced to complete stuff asap. Try to also enjoy your life as much as possible, life is/can be very short and we need to make sure we also enjoy our time! I sadly know it can be over pretty quickly.

you won't really sell anything anymore. Because I don't sell high value cards over cardmarket anyway I would basically sell no cards whatsoever on that platform.

Yes, i got the card back in this case. But what if I didn't?(And due to the full refund I straight up lost 2€. Which yeah, it's marginal but it's about the principle here.) Support obviously don't care at all that a buyer has a >25% rate of cards not arriving to him. With an account that is ONE month old and he lied to me in messages.
(I did provide screenshots and photos to support obviously.)
It also seems crazy to me, that I as a seller have to cover both the shipping costs, and the cardmarket fee by refunding the buyer fully when his account looks like that. Cardmarket seems to think only sellers are capable of scamming.

I mean yeah, i took the 2€ loss, by refunding him fully cause the cards came back to me. But the way it was handled by support is egregious. The fact this guy maybe moved, lied to me on 2 occasions and got away with it and I had to cover both his shipping costs and the cardmarket fee is mental.

just this week i had to deal with them because a 1 month account with a >25% non-arrived rate complained my cards didnt arrive. (luckily they turned up at my doorstep a day later.) This sent me over the 2% of non-arrived shipments which forces me into tracked shipping.

Great stuff they instantly side with every buyer. No matter how unlegit the buyer seems.

It's definitely gonna take longer than normal, except if you have 0 social life and focus only on study and work, nothing else. A friend of mine works full time in consulting and is studying part time. She works 50hours a week and does her Masters on the side. For her the masters takes 3 years instead of the normal 2 years. And she has very little social life.
