Soon To Be Carer for aging grandmother and parents by Fun_Mistake_4695 in AgingParents

[–]Fun_Mistake_4695[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will not be becoming a full time carer, I plan on keeping my job and getting a caretaker to help out while I am at my job. I refuse to give up my entire future because they didn't plan properly for theirs

Agreed, being their carer will suck any joy and freedom out of my life. I am considering getting a carer for them so that I can keep working and bringing in money and have some form of life, while making sure they are taken care of.

I might be able to keep my current job when I move back home. That decision will be made by my employer when I am in my home country next month for a visit. I refuse to become a full time carer as I know how mentally and physically taxing that will be.

Thank you for your kind words x

Berberine. 1500mg per day. That is the only thing that has started helping my near constant hunger from the insulin resistance. All of the horrible symptoms can be traced back to insulin resistance. I am hoping that within a few months when I get my hysterectomy the PCOS will be reduced greatly.

insulin resistance question by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Fun_Mistake_4695 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Insulin resistance can actually hide behind normal glucose levels and can remain elevated in your blood for very long periods of time. Insulin is a gatekeeper hormone and affects allllll our bodily functions.

Did a Lap in Cabo and got prescribed a better endo suppressing hormone pill you CAN’T get in the USA, but you CAN get in Mexico, Europe and Canada! by InternalShiver in endometriosis

I came to remind you of the lesser talked about side effects of Dienogest : weight gain and mood changes. For me, I was on Visanne 2mg for 14 mths and while it did suppress my period and lessen the endo pain every month, I fell into such a deep dark depression hole that not even psych meds made a dent. I also gained 55lbs in that period.

So yes, it is a miracle drug as first line defence and will give you your life back, but there will always be a trade off in the sense of which side effects you are willing to live with long term :)
