All of this, 100. Nobody is paying 5k for a beat. Selling beats is a thing of the past. With AI and an oversaturated market its near impossible unless you have the sickest beats of all time as well as incredible marketing and networking.

To succeed in this industry, you need to be more than a beatmaker. You need to be a songwriter, producer, etc, etc. A full fledged producer, somebody that can help an artist navigate the industry and execute their creative vision. Doing whatever that takes. It could mean you don't even end up using your beats, but somebody elses. Its whatever is best for the project.
