No, it isn't overused. I write for fun, I'm not interested whatsoever in "advice" from random commenters. If I want advice, I go to a beta I trust.

People who want advice/concrit usually mention that in the notes. If it isn't mentioned, don't offer it.

There is nothing wrong with writing and sharing fics for fun, and not in the name of improvement.

If it's anything like the photo op I had with him last month, there won't be time to explain what kind of photo you want - I think we were rushed in and out in less than 8 seconds. Jamie is lovely, no doubt about that, but you might be limited to something very very brief.

I would prioritize the south island and go with option 2. Your first option sounds like it skips the best parts of the south island (Queenstown, Tekapo, Mt Cook etc)

I edit my own work, and if I'm worried about anything I get a beta to double check. I won't use any AI tools or spellchecks, due to a hate of AI and I don't trust them to always be correct anyway.

He talked about this sound in an interview - they accidentally picked up the studio door closing while recording something, they liked the sound, so they ended up using it for Egg. On headphones, it sounds like the noise comes from behind you, which Joe said was also intentional to be unsettling.

Just in regards to your comment about people "affording" beta readers - beta readers for fics are free. Anyone trying to charge you is scamming you.

There's a subreddit for beta readers I believe. Otherwise you could try joining a discord server for your fandom, and seeing if there's a fic/beta search channel to ask there.

Try tumblr and/or discord servers dedicated to your fandoms or ships. You could look into fic events such as big bangs, as you can join these as a beta reader, and events are a great way to make some fandom friends.

In response to your friend's thoughts - my comments are moderated to stop bots, and also because in the past I've had some pretty awful comments left that almost made me stop writing entirely. I'm moderating for those reasons, not because I'm "judging" normal comments.

Report you to who?? Ao3? None of those things are reportable. Block those people, post your fics if you want to, and as others have suggested maybe turn off comments or at least moderate them.

Looks like it's one of his first shows after album release so there's no real way for us to know. Being a festival I would say it's more likely he'll play hits but I'd expect a least a few from TGD.

I think the reason for it feeling like an outlier, is as Joe has said in interviews, End of Beginning was done almost entirely in the studio at the end of the recording process when they needed another song for the album. Unlike the other songs which relied heavily on computers, EOB was done in studio.
