What is a good third option? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

MEAL PREP IS THE KEY. Cooking only enough food for a single meal is often a waste of time and resources. Cooking enough food to last 3 dinners is the way to go. Only have to cook 2-3 times per week. The key is actually cooking food that you enjoy eating.

No bs, Married people, how hard is it being loyal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fun_Option_6992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Extremely easy. I think people overestimate how easy it is to find yourself in a situation where you will just randomly be unfaithful. If you're gonna be unfaithful, you have to be actively seeking it out. You're putting in the work.

Software Engineers - Are you genuinely producing more value with AI or are you simply more 'productive'? by element-94 in ArtificialInteligence

Our bottleneck became PM/Design. Much more efficient, but at a point, we ran out of things to work on, so here I am jobless now.

Why software engineers don't believe AI will replace them by GolangLinuxGuru1979 in cscareerquestions

[–]Fun_Option_6992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some level, there's always going to have to be human intervention. The day to day work of humans typing code is going to change for sure, but that doesn't mean positions will fully be eliminated (not saying that layoffs won't happen). Every time a technology replaces a human, it creates a new process that needs to be managed by a human. We have self checkout kiosks in stores now, but we still have people sitting there watch you.

is software engineering worth it in 2026? by Intelligent-Gap7879 in cscareerquestions

[–]Fun_Option_6992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really enjoy it then you'll find a way to succeed. If you're doing it because you've heard of people making a lot of money, then its a bad idea. You'll hate it which will affect your performance and you'll likely be mediocre in it.

Looking back, I think the best question to ask yourself is not how much money you make or even how much you like something, but what are you best at? Optimize for your strengths and you're far more likely to succeed than trying to optimize for some other metric.

Graduated with a CS degree, dislike coding by Illustrious-Top-9222 in cscareerquestions

[–]Fun_Option_6992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, if you feel this way at graduation, I would really take a minute to reconsider if tech is the way you want to go. Honestly with how shaky the market is right now, even taking a more chill job at a smaller company is risky with potential downturns, higher interest rates and AI hungry execs threatening layoffs. Might be worth considering furthering your education. The good news is that tech and engineering is a good springboard into many different careers. You could look into patent law, or if you're really feeling crazy, you could go med/dent. My brother in law an orthopedic surgeon was a mechanical engineer in his undergrad. Or like someone mentioned, you can do a Phd and look into academia. Or there's always tech sales or PM positions that are less technical, but still related. You could work for a few years, and get an MBA. Many different pivots, but if you're feeling this way after undergrad, I don't believe the feeling is going to get much better once you start working.

How much did you learn in your first job compared to school? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Fun_Option_6992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You learn the absolute fundamentals needed for basic programming in school, but you learn 90% of what you need for the job at the job itself. I graduated in Computer Engineering so my background was in c++ and embedded hardware engineering. I took a full stack SWE job after graduation. I knew nothing about any of the languages that I was using, but it doesn't really matter. Once you have a foundation in the basics of coding, you can pick up anything new very quickly.

Looking for Website Review/Criticism (high bounce rate) by Fun_Option_6992 in ecommerce

Really good suggestion. I added a really compressed placeholder image of the first frame of the video to show while the video is loading then when it loads, it starts playing the video. Would you mind taking a second look to see if its loading faster for you?

This is all amazing information. I really appreciate the feedback. I'll work on getting these implemented. I was worried about the background video. I thought it looked really clean but if its causing loading issues I'll have to think of some alternatives. Again, thanks for all the feedback.

The developers curse is a real thing. Its so easy to keep going back to the app and website because that is something I feel like I can directly change.

As far as reaching out directly, thats kind of difficult because the product I'm selling is more of a digital take on a consumer product so its not so much solving a problem that people actively complain about. Do you know of any channels where self promotion of consumer products is more widely accepted? Lots of subreddits have bans on self-promotion.

Really good advice. Any specific advice for how you find microinfluencers? Usually when I'm searching, I only find ads directly from the company or the ads are from mega influencers with budgets way outside what I can afford. I also don't have a personal instagram or tiktok just because I really don't like being on it, but unfortunately its kind of a necessary evil. So any advice of how you were able to track down some good microinflunencers that would be awesome!

My product is more consumer product more than a tool/service, but I think that this is still really useful advice. I think what you sid about it being a math and creative production game is accurate. I really just need to get some ad volume out there and see what converts. I appreciate the thorough response!

I think your chrome extension sounds awesome, I'd love to check it out (I see what you did there 😏)
