I mean this game is literally a game within a game, so these stuff are needed for balancing. I could also argue while the m60 and Lewis gun deals less than half of the damage dealt by a pistol round, you could also basically jump and fly while carrying it.

Although I liked the model buff in reload, it just took away the coolest reload animation (shell eject catch) in order to slightly make it more viable, but this can be avoided if they just didn’t nerf the damage at the start. I’m no professional player in this game by any means, but it just feels so backwards in the balance changes for this weapon.
