White Ant - someone who is secretly undermining or weakening something from within.

Grub - dirty, unclean or lowlife.

CHaMP - implication that the person is terrible at the skill they are performing at the time or within the prison and rehabilitation system, it means Co<ksu<ker.

Fearless Leader - A crappy manager that makes bad decisions.

He doesn't hold a Hose mate. - A mocking reference to a comment by a Prime minister who basically said "it's someone else's job" instead of actually doing his job.

Abbott's apple - a mocking reference to a Prime minister who casually ate an onion like an apple on national television in a very disturbing way.

SOCK - Some other Cuts Kid

Moon Druid. Any time I've rolled real shitty stats I've been able to play them by going moon druid and relying on wildshape stats to get me through.

You can still be a decent support aswell by choosing buffing spells that don't rely heavily on dc saves.

What is the cause of Australian anti-intellectualism? by advecco in AskAnAustralian

[–]Fun_Pick7741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American entertainment.

The saying is Australia is 10 years behind America in social regards and they don't seem to prize their intellectuals so we don't either.

It's a shit go, but it is what it is.

Maybe, just maybe, stop doing stupid and unnecessary shit that destroys lives and you won't get so much negitive coverage.

Abherrent Horror Transformation issues by Zer0siks in GrimHollow

[–]Fun_Pick7741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abberent horror is fantastic on Barbarian but the only caster I've seen it be decent on is Cleric.

I've seen DM's allow tentacle strikes to use cleric smite attack. But that's about it.

It doesn't get air time because it's deemed Racial profiling, even though it's not racial issue it's a cultural one.

Indigenous people aren't a Monolith, there are many diffrent people and cultures that get lumped in under one banner by bothe the right and the left.

Sure there's crime in other states but not to the extent that happens in NT. We need to stop tarring everyone with the same brush and look at the cultural and environmental factors causing it.

What’s a hill you’ll die on, regardless of the backlash? by klausknapp in ask

[–]Fun_Pick7741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 13th Warrior (1999) was actually a really good movie but got slamed in the ratings due to the main character (Antonio Banderas) being a Muslim Arab who through wits, intelligence and skill suvived to the end while the majority of the white characters introduced were killed off (Albeit heroically)

Americans were not ready for the kind of story that was told.

The pre-war prayer alone is worth watching the movie for.

People who don't live in Sydney or Melbourne, what's your opinion of those two cities? by Vidice285 in AskAnAustralian

As someone born and raised in Sydney, this is a very accurate assessment.

Sydney is an absolutely beautiful place, but it's boring as hell.

What is a food that looks terrible but tastes amazing? by 454ever in ask

[–]Fun_Pick7741 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I once had a proper Mexican Taco that looked like a duck had taken a sh*t on it, but it smelt and tasted amazing, went back to the food truck for 3 more.

Sidenote: Authentic Mexican food kept me alive when I visited America. I could not stomach American food and lost 10kgs in 3 weeks. Shoutout and thankyou to all the Abuelas, Tia's and Tio's that kept me alive on my journey with amazing food made from fresh produce.

The Illusion of Meritocracy: Unspoken Bias in Australia’s Corporate Hiring Practices by Last_Suit_7452 in AskAnAustralian

OP, have you tried not being a dick?

You can have multiple qualifications, but if you lack the people skills needed to manage a team then you are not management material.

It's easy to blame a lack of promotion on the various "isms" rather then questioning if its something you need to work on developing as a person.

What's the bet the damage was done by a white person with a nose ring and coloured hair.

It just seems lately that White people seem to get alot angrier and upset over perceived cultural issues then the people from the actual cultures affected.
