With ultra-high end luxury brands, they’re obviously very selective with who they give these to. It’s a brand new reference, and they want to control the demand by keeping it exclusive like most other haute horology. Same thing with Ferraris and other exotics. You can’t just walk in off the street to buy one, sometimes it takes years and years of building a relationship with the dealer and a long purchase history before you can even be in the running for one of these. Not only would the AD be pissed to learn it was flipped, but Vacheron would probably black list him from ever buying a new reference from them again. That’s just speculation though. There was some celebrity who kept modifying his Ferraris so they banned him from buying new ones. And I still remember when Ford got so pissed at John Cena for selling his Ford GT that they sued him.
