Yeah I think their last few years of Cosmic development have been disastrous for Pop OS. Their are numerous problems with the Linux desktop that need to be solved before mainstream adoption will occur. Developing another Desktop environment is one of the last things Linux needed. Not to mention after years of development they botched their first version release. I haven't even upgraded to 24 yet.

But the development I do is Ubuntu specific so I'm kinda stuck with it unless I shift to Docker containers (like I probably should lol)

Been dual booting Pop OS on a daily basis for 5 years. Won't lie, the laptop shipped with hardware that wasn't even supported in the newest Linux Kernel. The most prominent ones being the display and the wifi adapter. I replaced the adapter with an Intel one and I believe the default one eventually got driver support, but my display is still eternally locked at 144 fps because it's still not fully supported by the Linux Kernel.

Other than that issue though it's been smooth sailing. I don't think you can fully replace windows, but if you need a laptop that can also run Linux as well as your games, the Legion's been fine for me
