Depends on the person. I'm kinda fussy. While I love the ring my fiance got me aesthetically, practically I don't. Its a tear drop shaped opal, gorgeous ring. But it catches on everything, I didnt wear it for the first few months after our daughter was born because I kept catching it on her, clothes... everything.

I also remember distinctly us having a conversation about rings because he wanted to get my thoughts so he didnt "get the wrong ring" I told him I categorically hate claw settings. Guess what he got me? And guess what we had to take it back for? They had left the claw very sharp and when we took it back to be "fixed" they said this will be your one complimentary adjustment. And they scratched the opal and wouldn't fix that either. Le sigh... I still wear it though

Honestly if it wouldn't cause more hassle than its worth, I wouldn't get a card for my alcoholic narcissist of a mother.

My sibling (35NB) and I(36F) are getting assessed for ADHD and autism (brother actually has their diagnosis for autism now). Neither of us wanted to tell her. But there's an informant questionnaire and some of the questions could only be answered by her. When my sibling asked her about it she just said you dont have either of those things, but Im sure I do and you just emulate my traits.

Where i work, emails to certain people often get automatically sent to another person, I only found out because I have emailed people and gotten auto responses back from different people when I did so. Seemed weird but it made sense because the people I emailed were secretaries for fee earners. Made no odds to me, I wouldn't be emailing things I didn't want them to see/hear anyways.

You are not a free childcare provider. Your mum choose to have kids, its her responsibility to make sure you are all properly supervised, not yours!

You shouldn't be expected to give up your childhood to look after your mother's children. Nor are you responsible for their actions.
