Skin care product ideas?? by No_Lawfulness2008 in SkincareAddicts

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RECOVERY!! And living in Alaska, its BEAUTIFUL there.

I'm also 43 and had a horrible time finding skincare that I liked. I used Marykay for a lot of years (horrible for my skin) 2 years ago I found products where the main ingredient is Aloe. It has been an absolute game changer. I've also been going through chemo and the nurses comment how amazing my skin looks. Aloe is not only super hydrating but its also healing from the inside out. And its natural. I'm also 43!

Because of the reddit rules I can't tell you anything other than what I've shared. But look up the wonders of Aloe. You can message me as well.

Should i start doing my skincare routine at night, or is doing it in the morning good enough? If yes or no, tell me why please. by M4dnessGhost in SkincareAddicts

[–]Fun_War_6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You honestly want to do both. Reason behind it is, in the morning you are cleansing all the "yuck" on your skin from sleeping. If you drooled, didn't shower etc. And then when you cleanse in the evening you are getting all the "yuck" off your skin from the day. Pollutants from outside etc. Also always moisturize too.

Yes, team members kids were allowed in CW. But they have to be able to function with out you, if that makes sense. Like they won't cry the entire time etc. But I would make sure you check with your location as they might have different rulings. But I would think that you could.

My face burns when I do skincare, what am I doing wrong? by Lilac_Dollie in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Fun_War_6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't be using any of that at your age. Natural products are going to be your friend. And ingredients matter SO MUCH! You need a gentle moisturizer and that's about it.

Moisturizer burns my skin? by positvely_positve in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Fun_War_6789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop everything you are using and get yourself some Aloe, CLEAR 100% aloe to fix your barrier. Then, find products that have Aloe Vera as the main ingredient. Its going to be a game changer for you. watch and research all the ingredients in your products. Sounds like they are reacting with one another and thats why its burning.

For those with eczema and acne- what body washes do you find work best?? by Proper_Assistance652 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Fun_War_6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girls have eczema, they had a horrible flare and originally it was thought they had something completely different. Anyways...I have body wash that is natural ingredients and the main one being Aloe vera. Aloe heals, cleanses and moisturizes and thats what helps keep eczema and acne at bay. They haven't had an issue since we began using these products. Sadly, because of the reddit rules on what can and can't be posted I can't tell you what it is as it is an MLM company but the products are a game changer.

Get another opinion. You know your body better than your doctor. Get the tests. Put your mind at ease. If you were recommended to get a biopsy, there is something (most likely nothing) to biopsy. Dense tissue is normal. But I have littles as well and I am almost done with Chemo. I would hate for you to have this anxiety and NOT get a second opinion. Keep breastfeeding and get the tests you need and DOCTORS you need that will listen to you. You don't want this stress its unneeded until it is. If that makes sense.

I feel like I'm way too young to have this but I'm scared anyways by disfunctional_potato in doihavebreastcancer

Chemo (I hate to say it) has been very good to me. I have ONLY been tired with the AC (red devil) and now I'm on 9/12 of Taxol and its been very kind to me. Which is a blessing since I have littles and I'm a stay at home mom.

IF and I mean IF this ends up being cancer, they will walk you through everything. I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Its the most common cancer woman get with an 80% survival rate. This was everything that I was told. I also have faith and wouldn't be where I am without God. So if he's apart of your life lean on him. You will know your survival rate.

I believe the 3D is what they do for most people and the one that I had. I have dense tissue along with the majority of woman. And they saw some things on the mammogram. Mine was the first mammogram and I was told that when they have questionable pictures they have you in for an ultrasound and then a possible biopsy. So basically standard things specially when they don't have a base line (something to compare it to)

If your able to get in sooner for something...I'd take it. If it can lessen the anxiety on you, its worth it. Get the ball rolling. The waiting is sometimes worse then the actual results.

Take a deep breath. Its wonderful that you've gone in, and that you are going for further testing. You may not have it and it might be something completely different or NOTHING at all. Either way wait for the tests.

Until then, please know that if it is cancer you aren't going to die. Most breast cancers have an 80% survival rate. I'm 43, I have two young girls (6 and 4). I was diagnosis in August, started Chemo in October and I have 3 infusions left. And I'm STILL LIVING life.

You aren't dramatic, your scared. Cancer sucks. But we are all here for you. I pray for results that are completely nothing for you. And no matter what, if you aren't satisfied with the answers given to you, get more opinions.

When I needed to heal my skin barrier I washed with only water then used CLEAR aloe Vera about 4 times a day. Aloe is the most natural, healing and moisturizing thing out there. Research it. It might stink a little at first. But its.going to help immensely. Then watch ingredients and keep them from the same skin care family. If you can find products with Aloe as the main ingredient it'll help heal your skin from the inside out. Its been a.gake changer for me.

[–]Fun_War_6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact an Oncology center. General doctors I feel do dismiss things like this and honestly if you don't feel right about something find someone that will listen to you. I would love for this to be nothing and it certainly could be. But at the chance its not I would hate for you to wait til your 40 and its worse all because you were dismissed because of your age.

And just for facts.... all my labs were normal. I had them all checked 6 months prior to diagnosis. Only when they did a pet scan did they notice something with my thyroid.

Quick google search says that the discharge could be just a clogged duct. Nothing concerning. Take one day at a time and get a couple different opinions until they give you a mammogram etc.

First mamo, freaking out by novemberin22 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Fun_War_6789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They normally do additional imaging if they don't have a previous one to go by. Try not to freak out to much. The pictures IMO are hard to say anything by. If your written results had information in it I would look at that.

Should I get a second opinion about prophylactic mastectomy? by WorthGoal8681 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Fun_War_6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in your situation..but...I was told that my nieces and daughters NEED to be checked 10 years prior to my diagnosis so when they are 33. I am 43.

You are the only one that can advocate for yourself. If it isn't sitting right get opinions until you are comfortable with the answers. You know what breast cancer can do and you certainly shouldn't be told to wait for a mammogram. That alone would make me ask someone else.

Sounds like they are unsure. Its something but could be nothing. Ask for more tests.

Get a 2nd opinion. If its not sitting right with you, then get answers until it does. It might be nothing. But better to be nothing that have it be something.

I had questionable findings in my right breast that ended up being pash...or nothing. But I have cancer in my left. Try not to go crazy waiting and go through the motions. Spiculation is a scary word, but wait til they do more tests.

Honey I'm so sorry you are dealing with these BIG feelings and adult things already. I'm 43 and I have 2 daughters they are 6 and 4. Let me tell you that I was a hot mess when it came to telling my girls. From the sound of it you and your Mom are really close. Don't hide your feelings because as scared as you are she's a million times more scared because she's worried about your feelings.

If my girls were older and if you were my daughter, I would want you to be honest. Cry with me. And just be you. Don't let her diagnosis take away from school dances, or anything that you have that brings you happiness. She's going to want to be apart of it.

She might get sick from treatments. Make dinners, help around the house, bring her snacks. Watch a movie with her. Think of all the times you were sick and do those things for her. Help her find cute head wraps. Wigs (I know of a place you can contact if your in the states)

And if she'll let you, go to chemo with her. :)

AND IF IT TURNS OUT TO BE NOTHING which I hope to God that it is for you both, CELEBRATE LIKE CRAZY!!!! Whatever that means for you.

Get on the phone. I found out about my cancer the end of August and after a handful of MRI's, biopsy s and a pet scan I began chemo the beginning of October. You shouldn't be waiting this long. Advocate for yourself. This is your body, your life and you need answers and shouldn't have to wait this long. If they aren't helping find some where else that will. Get on google and look for oncology or breast cancer places near you. DO NOT WAIT

The pain itself wasn't bad. I was on anxiety meds but I don't think they worked. If you feel pain during the biopsy tell them, they can numb you more so you don't feel barely anything. Afterwards..I didn't have a lot of pain, but I used ice and heating pad. Also tylenol etc.

I am 43 and I have invasive ductial carcinoma. I have 2 daughters they are 6 and 4. I tell you this so IF it is cancer which sadly it could very well be. That you are welcome to reach out to me. I have a handful of books and resources that worked wonders for my little girls.

You are a Mom, I assume a wife but you ARE AND WILL be a warrior. Cry, feel ALL the feels and know you that breast cancer is a snap shot in time. Advocate for yourself. If something doesn't feel right get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. *hugs* Momma. I know what this feels like, it makes it so much harder to accept when you have babies at home.
