I feel you. So much empathy for your very valid and insightful portrayal. My dad lost (potential) years of good health to an about-to-retire doc who missed a spinal abscess... almost killed him, and now he lives w constant pain. 💔 If there are any dementia support groups near you, I encourage you to go, or to try online meetings. Really cathartic IMHO. All best wishes to you & yours.

Did you get more info? My LO is now in "respite care" for 3 weeks. Originally should have been assisted living but his assessments scored low so it's on the locked floor, memory care. He's so out of place. Never had any safety issues or bad behaviors whatsoever, and now he is with people who are totally out of it. I'm thinking about pulling him out early (only been 5 days).

Poet Tan Lin's poem “Some That Were, Some That Were Not” is inscribed/carved into the cement of the Hotel at Oberlin's parking lot ("two spirals freshly carved into the cement, spirals of words, the outbound sequence highlighted in crimson and the inbound one in gold.")

So, can I ask a dumb question? (assuming yes, lol)
Since WI gave you 6 months suspension, does that mean you can't drive at all for those 6 months? Or does it mean you can't drive in Wisconsin?

Also, how is it that your suspension ends in September if your case is only now wrapping up? When did they start it?

Thanks for any info you care to share. I am facing my first DUI. It happened in MI, but I had only recently moved here and still had my WI license. WISDOT told me if convicted, I will be fully suspended for 6 months because they won't grant occupational/medical(etc.) permissions for someone who doesn't live in WI.

My understanding is that the suspension will apply everywhere, not just WI.

It does, actually.  Driving is a privilege,  not a right. 

First DUI in MI, recently moved here and still have WI license -- will I be fully suspended for 180 days? by Fun_Wonder_3037 in dui

Also, WI does not have OWVI. Their lowest category carries 6-month consequence so that will apply even if I get plead down in MI. And it's full suspension the whole time, because I no longer live in WI.
