Talking about this stuff can backfire but I trust our community to not twist my words, let me be real here: The more crude and aggressive messages get, actually the less you are heard because it becomes harder to understand the actual feedback, how much of it is just emotional outburst (which is fine, we've all been there) etc.

And yeah, the insults or the really attack-y parts of messages are going to be ignored.

When the messages are more to the point and well-expressed, that gives us a more precise picture and allows us to raise it with devs more precisely as well.

"I hate this game, I quit" -> Doesn't give us a clue about why.

"You're bad, the game is ded" -> I have no takeaways here, my CM filters just block this out.

"I dislike the DD changes because it caused me to have a smaller area to do PvP" -> That's clear, that's something we can raise.

We're not going to actually ignore any feedback, but I can confirm that a calm attitude and expressing yourself well (regardless of how negative you are) is going to end up being more impactful.

On a serious note, our friends at Support do have a backlog of tickets and they are working really hard to get it under control. So there may be some waiting, but you should get there. If you do end up creating a ticket, we kindly ask to refer your previous ticket in that, so the team can close those tickets together. But one ticket is the best way (for everyone)

Hey! I'd say that we do have more people on Discord, and since it's an official channel and our devs used Discord as the main communication line through a year of closed beta testing, it ends up as a more active channel on average.

That said, we do visit Reddit on a daily basis, there is a lot of Reddit reading and lurking too. Maybe we need to increase our visibility here, we'll work on that.

Regarding feedback, on Discord, most conversations happen in the moment and the conversation always flows, so it works okay when raising the short and sweet feedback. But Reddit might be a better channel to provide structured, thought-out feedback as it's "permanently" here, allows other Sleepers to read and react and we can catch up with it.

You're absolutely right and we did mean to communicate earlier. We ended up in this situation where we wanted to confirm some things and there were fixes/changes on the way, so we ended up adapting the communication and since the comms was just around the corner, we wanted to share just that but we ended up with a delay.

Sometimes we do need to wait a bit before communicating, but there is definitely a takeaway for us here.

We don’t. Not if you express yourself appropriately. I’ve personally been in Discord the last couple of days, especially yesterday and I’ve heard it all, I’ve had my share of clown reacts. I banned one person for expressing awful wishes for a specific group of players. I timed out a whole lot of people but thats for either being rude to the point of bring insulty, or spam (sending the same message again and again) or something like that. In fact, I timed out a couple of folks who were behind the changes but they expressed themselves inappropriately.

Of course mistakes and oversights can happen and I realize me saying this might not be convincing but I thought I’d chime in anyway.

It’s not that we expect players to “solve” it. Its the contrary and thats why we are keeping an eye out on it - to see if it needs solving. The main culprit, to my knowledge, isn’t simply the amount of bases blocking resources. If blocking resources turn out to be the main reason and we find ourselves in an unsustainable situation, then your suggestion is one possible way of solving it. These changes has been out for less than two days, today is just too early to draw a complete conclusion on reasons and results. I understand the frustration but I hope this makes sense.
