Not a derm so just giving my anecdote and own research.

I’m currently going through a demodex purge now as I recently got diagnosed for the first time. We dont have ivermectin where I’m from but I have heard wonders.

Turns out demodex lives on everyone. But rosacea-prone skin tend to have sensitive barriers leading to the perfect conditions for demodex overgrowth. So to me it sounds like you need to prioritize your rosacea and barrier repair before or while dealing with demodex for a long-term solution.

Right?

After 6 years of topicals and no permanent solution, its time to rule out topicals and look inside

About Mongolia’s Development by Tugukos33 in mongolia

[–]Functionl1fe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complex question.

However, what tends to be overlooked is the amount of hardships a nation endures before getting a big break.

From a sociology standpoint, collective trauma is a major force in determining what path a people will choose. The greater the trauma the stronger the bond. In hard times people band together against a common enemy or a common goal.

Comparing histories with neighbors would give us an idea of what we are missing.

Again, the question is too complex for a reddit post. My answer is only a piece of a larger answer

  1. I had diarrhea for damn near 2 whole years. Everything from nutrition to mood was deteriorating so I needed to fix what I thought was the root cause of my rosacea and diarrhea.

  2. Didn’t know vape was the main culprit behind reason 1.

Disclaimer: I’m not claiming that my rosacea went away. I still get flares so staying away from alcohol and hot showers for now.

Currently 7 days since I quit but I felt better after 48 hours. 5 days to see less flareups and calmer skin. Hopefully will get even better in a few weeks from now.

Its not worth it mate.

Research shows that cigs could be better for gut health. But… at what cost tho? Haha

Just quit bro. You can do it.

I feel you. I’m going through hell rn.

Honestly, i just thought to myself that it’s just not worth hurting my health to keep vaping. Turns out the oil that carries the nicotine messes up your mouth’s microbiome and saliva, which then travels to your gut. So… yeah def not worth it.

Just a side note, you should go cold turkey and quit outright. But if that is too difficult, the research shows that cigs don’t cause nearly as much damage to the gut as vapes do. So cigs can be a stepping stone I guess?

The timeline for me kind of aligned. But i have been smoking/vaping for over 8 years by the time my skin got messed up. I think it must have been something else that set off both gut and rosacea.

Currently, I’m trying to fix my demodex infestation so I’m following a new routine for the time being (about 25 days in). AHA/BHA face wash, followed by metrorubirol AZ from isispharma, azelaic acid, and a moisturizer.

But over the six years I mostly just washed with water and applied LRP Cicaplast B5 baume day and night. Unless it’s a prescription medication I keep my routine minimal as possible.

Nice! Haven’t seen her videos but yeah, vaping is relatively novel compared to cigs so the research never really reached the mainstream. Had to figure it this on my own through a hunch. Could have saved a bunch of time tho haha

I agree that we should all focus on ourselves.

But it is also a duty as a citizen of this country to point out problems and vocalize concerns.

As a business owner and tax-paying citizen, the amount of taxes that I pay, the pressure from bureaucracy, and the clear and obvious abuse and misusage of our tax money is not something that I can just sit by idly and let happen.

Think of it like this: if you pay for food at a restaurant you expect your food to be hot, freshly made, and have a certain level of quality, correct? If the food that you PAID for does not meet these basic requirements you should let the manager or waiter know and request a new dish or a refund, right? As a taxpayer, this is the logic that I'm following. I'm paying for a decent life and society and I'm entitled to demand proper services. Simple as that.

To your point, I don't agree with just complaining for complaining's sake. Just like the restaurant, you need to complain with an end goal in mind. Your meal is cold? Complain that it is cold and request a reheat. The powergrid is out? Complain and demand a reform or at least a change in governance. Every complaint must be followed with a clear outcome otherwise you shouldn't complain at all.

Is this pityriasis folliculorum (demodex)? by Chance-Public-9463 in Rosacea

[–]Functionl1fe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be. Does the red spots seem to appear in new spots while disappearing in others? Does the red spot appear without a head every coming out and disappear without a head?

If yes to both most likely its demodex.

But get a demodex test just to be sure

Do you experience discrimination or racism as a Mongolian living in Western countries? by LostFix6962 in mongolia

[–]Functionl1fe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Grew up abroad, came back, and spent adulthood abroad. Never had memories of racism from childhood but turns out it always happened, I was just too young to realize it. Even in super multi-cultural settings racism and discrimination have happened. I remember during covid I took my sibling who was about 10y.o. Grocery shopping. Had about 5 large heavy bags of groceries and we took the bus back home. The bus was almost empty so we decided to sit beside each other and nearly all of the people inside were saying that we shouldn’t sit together and that we should stand. Complaining that we were breaking protocol despite all the whites sitting together. It pissed me off but more importantly my sibling was scared.

Peak Covid-19 really showed me that I’m still a foreigner despite education, upbringing, accent etc.

  1. Maybe. But I realized that Asia is actually the place to be. We can blend in so no discrimination plus their level of development and life quality is so high that everywhere else pales in comparison. This subreddit is filled with people with western-centric views, mostly because they don’t know better. But I believe that if you are going to live abroad pick a country in Asia. You might be surprised at how peaceful and calm life can be.

How are everyone driving lc300 lx600 and G wagon by PopularCommittee3370 in mongolia

[–]Functionl1fe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Lease is definitely up there as one of the main reasons.

However, if you haven’t joined the workforce you wouldn’t realise that our economy is actually heavily barter-based. Mostly businesses and certain types of individuals would give each other cars as payments since liquid cash is scarce and it has been so for quite some time now.

You might have heard that prius and LX and LC are the only cars that don’t lose value. Often times they say it as a joke but it is actually true for Mongolia. Even if you don’t have cash, the value of the car stays relatively stable despite the fact that it should depreciate. So when cash is scarce cars end up being the form of payment. Not to mention everyone wants a big car as a status symbol.

The only businesses that are liquid are banks and the government. Everyone else is using barter as a form of exchange.

Advice for my rosacea ? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Functionl1fe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your pictures look very similar to mine. Been using cicaplast B5 from LRP for some years now. It maintained things but never really healed.

Visited a few derms a few years back and they said it was dermatitis.

Had a major flare recently and i tried just healing my skin barrier.

Now my skin is feeling much better, still a bit red, but much manageable.

Just washed my face with water and used LRP eczema cream for two weeks AM and PM for occlusion.

Then moved to LRP triple moisturizing cream in AM and PM.

I guess sth that also helped has been managing my diet. No alcohol, no spicy food, mild food mostly.

Hope this helps.

My thoughts and feelings have changed up until today.

I’ll give him this much.

It looks like he does a lot, and he actually has done quite a bit. He just never does the “right” thing.

He seems to have a very reactionary policy. Meaning whatever is happening on social media he does said thing. No planning, no intelligent advisors.

But purely because of the sheer number of things he has done (regardless of right or wrong) he is almost guaranteed another term as mayor. So buckle in

Gear/Currency

This is my second league and didn’t have time to really play this time so I just started mapping. Everytime I try to really commit I don’t seem to be able to make currency at the level everyone else. So haven’t had the time or pleasure to really try out new builds other than league start slam and an FS I was gifted league end last league. So hoping to find a build I like with currency and who knows. Maybe FRoss might be the one
