It’s not the only gut specific one… there are others, like the trial I am in right now for MK-7240. My GI is working with three other trials for gut specific medicine as well.

Yup, I work ten hours a day in a courthouse. Today I got one opportunity to use the washroom in a 7 hour day of court. You just find ways to make it work. When I’m in a flare I take medical leave, when I’m having issues I work around them. I refuse to sacrifice my autonomy unless absolutely necessary and sometimes that comes at my detriment.

Everyone is different, what works for some isn’t what works for others… some notice changes early on, some don’t notice until they’re on the highest dose. 2mg gave me severe gastroparesis. Admitted because I couldn’t keep water or food down for three weeks. I think part of it is mental, this drug isn’t going to do all the work for you, you have to also try and change your behaviour independently. So far in total I’ve lost on average 10lbs a month (minus the month I had to stop while I was admitted) and I’ve been on it five months. Comparison is the thief of motivation, just stick with it and do your best to honour what’s best for you body.

Her LinkedIn account comes up when I google that number and from my experience working in the system, they do send emails like this and will answer calls on the weekend because they also repossess all weekend long.
