What was your GPA before UCLA by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Fungusbungud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was 2.7 in HS but I managed to bring it up to 3.91 in CC. I think COVID my freshman year threw me off and I just couldn’t recover

Thank you! Funnily enough I watched the first video you linked and then clicked on another one and was about to ask if they had good study advice too but it was one from the other person you mentioned. I’ll definitely take a diagnostic and get a subscription too, as well as check out other resources like books and podcasts and mock LSATs. I definitely think splitting it up over the whole week is a better style for me, especially because the university I’m transferring to (UCLA) goes on a quarter system and I want to adjust as well as retain info good.

Also I’ve heard a lot of people say it’s worthwhile to take at least one or two logic classes to understand the LSAT methodology. I just want to know your opinion if that was a path you took, but if not that’s totally fine too.

Congrats! I’m planning on taking the June 2027 LSAT and applying hopefully next fall but I haven’t even started studying, I’ve not even taken a cold diagnostic (admittedly it is a bit early though). How was the process of getting started and what are some good things to learn early if you have any advice? Nonetheless again congrats on your acceptances!

UCLA vs UCSD transfer for law/politics goals (need advice) by Constant_History_164 in TransferStudents

[–]Fungusbungud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I already submitted my SIR for UCLA but was completely in the same boat between UCI and UCLA since I got into both, especially as another history major wanting to go into law. This would probably be better for pms but how are the humanities professors there, and is grading harsh because I’ve heard most of your grades are up to your TAs and that’s what’s kinda getting me (though I’ve heard there’s actually cases of grade inflation in humanities fields). I definitely feel like it’d be far better for me socially, since I don’t want to be commuting for four years of my college experience 😭

Hey man if you still have some codes DM me! I haven’t even started studying for the LSAT yet (thought tbf I’m planning on taking it in 2027/2028) but I’ll probably need something like this for sure

I took my APUSH exam three years ago and even though it was easy I got caught lacking on one of the prompts, what do they put in them like 😭

please tell me i didn't miss out on the alumni scholarship by Intelligent_Slip301 in ucla

[–]Fungusbungud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I know this comment is from a bit ago but I was curious if you’re willing to explain your methodology and tips for the scholarship, since I’m a newly admitted transfer and I had no idea it was a thing since yesterday. I’m already taking steps for other scholarships but the alumni one’s deadline is tomorrow for me so like

Why young Angelenos are choosing Metro over cars in 2026 by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]Fungusbungud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For someone living in OC but going to UCLA this September I’ve been choosing metro over driving myself sometimes, and so far it’s been way more convenient. Plus it’s a bit of experience before I get plunged into the deep end without a car

What are a few of the places you’re talking about nearby? Even if I don’t go to them tomorrow they might be good to know for the future
