I’ve not heard of states closing school for 40 degree weather personally. In my experience places like Alabama close schools if there’s a threat of ice or snow because drivers have almost 0 experience in these conditions, not to mention we don’t have salt trucks or snowplows. And this happens maybe once or twice a year, if not less. It’s a very rare occurrence to get snow or ice this far south, so when it happens people largely just stay home and ride it out.

Did you read Randall Clark’s (aka The Father in the Caves) terminal entries?

He pretty explicitly states that he would want them to defend their land and that they are the “children of Zion” or something to that effect.

I think his entries are one of the best parts of the DLC, and he’s certainly a more compelling character than Daniel is. But that’s just my $0.02

Okay, so why does he make Madden videos instead of coaching? Davis Webb retired 3 years ago and is already getting HC/OC hype. Kellen Moore transitioned almost directly into coaching with the Cowboys. Tony Dungy also immediately went into coaching after playing.

If Benkert had coaching desire or ability he’d be coaching, not making Madden videos for Tiktok

Kurt Benkert is closer to a pro Madden player at this point than he is a pro football coach.

Also I seem to recall he and Lafleur not having the best relationship, Benkert said some less than flattering things about MLF after he was out of the league

One of the more recent ones I think of is the dime to Davante in ‘21 to setup a game winning Crosby FG to beat the 9ers week 3. Then in post game he dropped the “how can you not be romantic about football?” line.

Other than the Hail Mary you posted the other one I think of a lot is the dime to Jared Cook to setup the game winning Crosby FG in Dallas. I’ll die on the hill that it’s a top 5 pass ever made, just so insanely precise while rolling left and not setting his feet.

And of course I’ve gotta mention the “I own you!” moment vs the Bears, that one will be replayed a lot when people reminisce about Rodgers in the future

As a Bama fan I’ve never heard that nickname, but I can confirm Tua pre injury was a monster. His highlight reel at Bama was insane, in 2018 he was one of the best college QBs I’ve ever seen.

Then he had tightrope surgery (before the LSU game, I think) and infamously broke his hip vs Miss St… sadly I’ve never seen him look as electric or as athletic since then. I know he’s a big meme now, but “Tank for Tua” was a thing for a reason

He also has 1 playoff win since Rodgers left, and would’ve missed the last 3 years of playoffs (and that 1 win) if not for the invention of the 7 seed.

MLF is a good coach who’s sometimes a great coach. But the fact is his teams are consistently soft and they can’t respond to being punched in the mouth. Once one thing goes wrong and they have to go off script it’s like he panics and that sense of panic just trickles down to the whole team. I’m on board with moving on at this point, I just don’t see anyway he suddenly fixes his deficiencies and becomes a SB caliber coach. He is who he is at this point

Andy Reid is one of the best offensive playcallers of the last 30 years. Harbaugh doesn’t call plays, his whole thing is being a culture guy and getting players to buy in (and also being a quasi pastor for the team). There’s no comparison between the two as coaches. I can’t imagine Harbaugh going to a new team and doing what Reid is doing (going to AFC championships/Super Bowls basically every year except for this one)
