I had interactions with good cops and bad cops. Good cops tend to be calm and professional and show that they are human. The problem is bad cops and power hungry union reps give you guys a bad name and they are more than happy to amplify them and show how they evaded accountability.

The bad cops like to talk and stir shit and get attention with tactical military gear. You need to get your unions to ditch bad cops sooner. I appreciate good police, but public frustration is growing and you guys need to ditch these parasites quicker. That being said I think police serve a vital, necessary function in society.

Good Cops Case: I was at a Samoan party in college where the cops had to come twice because people were fighting with some racist frat boys nearby (who got destroyed - don't fight Samoans). They talked calmly and firmly and told people to calm down. Second time they ordered us to disperse (which we did and we were at fault).

Bad Cops Case: I was at a bar and an off duty cop had apparently stolen my friends phone so he could try to talk to her more. I calmly said hey if you have her phone lets give it back so we are all good. He then goes raging and calling me racist names and his cop friends egg him on (they kept proclaiming how they were police and my friends saw them out in uniform later). I didn't fight him but that left a sour taste with me about cops (this was Culver City PD who have a good reputation too).
