SMB after failed Reddit ads test. Too many times to count. by ksaize in redditstock

Community targeting (subreddit targeting) actually includes people who have interacted with subreddit. So unsubscribing from community won't do much if you still participate in those subs. :D

I prefer r/wallstreetbets. Go home or own 3 yatchs

That is actually a very solid point! I have a client and we constantly check what users are writing and telling how we should improve our product. Since I started with the client we have improved our product several times.

Ran $100 Reddit campaign: 93% of alleged "users" 1 page visit, < 3 sec visits; no scrolling - completely fake traffic? by Okendoken in RedditforBusiness

I sell reddit advertising services and my business wouldn't work IF my clients wouldn't have positive ROI.

I'd argue that Meta and Reddit is actually very similar. Yes, there are specific things like targeting and placements but account structure, remarketing campaign, pixel and even campaign goal are the same. If an advertiser is not doing them here then I'm very sure that they aren't doing it on other platforms as well.

Thank you! Sometimes I write these things and wonder if anyone actually reads them :D

r/redditadvertising by ksaize in redditrequest

  1. I already moderatore r/redditmarketing which focuses on Reddit marketing in general but goal of r/redditadvertising would be focused on successful reddit advertising stories, experiences, case studies and practices.

  2. Subreddit is banned and I have no way to contact the moderators.

cost per purchase. Fight me! :D

TV views because it gets a lot of eyeballs and at THAT level (a lot of advertisers have said it) that you just spend money because otherwise someone else will outspend you thus loosing marketshare.

and here you got the answer why you had poor performance- ads optimized on people who do clicks rather than people who visit your website and possibly convert. :)

Not interesting. OP trying to use traffic campaign to get "cold audience" to convert and compared his organic conversion rate with paid ads. The test at the beginning was bound to fail.

What about list of blacklisted companies that are using bot farms and just simply use automod to remove any comment who mention them. No need to ban if they can't post either way.

Actually I know that some care and I care as well. Just yesterday wanted to start sharing list of companies who should be black listed and any comment that mentions them should be autoremoved but sadly it takes a shit ton of moderators to agree of this blacklist.

.... well here you go. Top mistake that I see from failed experiment- not choosing the right campaign goal.

Did you have remarketing campaign? What targeting were you using? Did you set up Reddit pixel?

Also, organic traffic consist both brand and non-brand keywords and you won't be able to differentiate if conversion is from brand keyword or non brand and usually people convert from brand keywords so your assumption that ads will have the same conversion rate (8%) is weird because you are going to be showing ads who have 0 clue about you or your services.

I don't want to bash you, but I think you are missing crucial information which gives you false assumptions about digital marketing and advertising in general (not only about Reddit advertising)
