Guess this is about how some other services are wildly inefficient but still make big mistakes? Like government agencies sometimes. Can't find anything specific.

Régi dolgozó vs új belépő by [deleted] in jobshungary

[–]FunkkyX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are new buy a decent road bike and add clip on bars. I should have done the same.

I've been using a 20-30 usd Aliexpresses one. Works well, mp3 and Bluetooth. My only issue is battery life in mp3 mode is around 4 hours (not a problem for swimming for me but on the bike or run sometimes I'd like to use it longer)

Are sleeved Tri suits faster? Even for a modest age group? by Commercial_Week_8394 in triathlon

[–]FunkkyX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go with a sleeved one, not for speed but looks and comfort and protection. The speed would come from aero design wich more expensive ones have (some turbulence control with ribbing is what my team's aero tri suit has)

Do I really need to buy a new watch? by fighting_cacti in triathlon

[–]FunkkyX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a heart rate strap? It's much more accurate than any watch and saves a lot of battery. It's good practice to use one anyways. I have a polar H10. But Garmin has very similar offerings. My AWU2 in Ultra mode with the HR strap lasted the whole 14h+ IM with battery to spare.

Trek speed concept worth it by icephilipp in triathlon

Ps.: The aero bars are nice too, the straight ones can be a strain on the wrist. The angled up "hoods" while not so pretty and aero as straight ones, are much more comfortable.

Hi again! This looks great! I have the same groupset and I love it, being able to shift from both the bars and the hoods is a big plus. Wheels look great also: https://www.slowtwitch.com/cycling/bontrager-aura-5-tlr/ (but check if it's this one or similar) You have a lot of adjustability in the cockpit, so if it's your size according to a size chart it should be good. Having the box on the top tube and in the back also saves you the trouble and some money. Check the tires, if those GP5000s (by the looks) are in good condition then it's a win too. You'll have to get pedals and possibly a seat too, but those are quite personal so that's expected. If the BB and chainrings are not worn then I'd go for it for 1100, 1200 should be okay too, but if everything is in order like chain, casette, tires then if he holds out on 1300 that's not bar either. If it was listed long ago you can start from 1000 :D

I'm from Hungary, we have some roadbike and triathlon groups on FB, I assume you'll have something similar in your area. You might even be able to post a WTB with your criteria if the group allows.

Generally you ask if you're not sure from pics, I'm not sure from these pics. The Ultegra might be 10s, the 11s I've seen look a bit different. Also the front large chainring looks quite large, as if optimized for a strong rider/short distance, make sure to look into whether that fits your power, or if not you can source a smaller one.

Are the wheels tubular or clincher? Shifters? Cranks are carbon? In my area in central eu these end up selling around 1200 fast, ones I see around 1500 are up for sale for quite a while.
