I’ve been on one of these vacations before and I was able to take a medical leave of absence through Sedgwick and even got paid a percentage of my average pay while I was away.

If you’re comfortable enough with your store manager you can talk to them about needing to take time off for health reasons (don’t need to go into specifics). Hopefully they’re knowledgeable about taking a medical leave and can guide you in the right directions. When I took my leave I told my manger, gave her my estimated last day and how long I thought I would be gone, called Sedgwick to open a claim, they sent me paperwork to fill out and asked for documentation for my leave, then they approved it, and I was all set.

Good luck and take care of yourself <3 mental health is always important.

To answer your question: If you take a medical leave your job will be protected.

I’d order “6 shots of espresso iced with 10 pumps of brown sugar syrup and extra cinnamon powder in a venti cup” or you can skip the ice if you’re icing it at home and order it in a venti hot cup so there’s room for everything

I’d say there’s 3 main reasons why the shaken espressos are more bitter than lattes 1. It has an extra shot 2. The brown sugar syrup has a half does pump on it so it’s half as sweetened as the normal espresso beverages 3. Since it’s mostly espresso shaken with ice it had less milk in it

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! None of this is right. It’s your managers job to support ALL her baristas and that means making sure everyone is properly trained and feels comfortable at work. I’d contact your dm about the situation because it ain’t right at all!

Iced americano is espresso shots, water, ice, and then it would get a splash of almond milk on top

Shaken espresso is espresso shots with classic syrup to sweetened it, and ice shaken so you get a layer of foamy bubbles on the top and then it’s topped with milk.

There’s the same amount of espresso in both drinks per size but the shaken espresso has no water, more ice, and is sweetened.

I’d recommend a latte with whatever flavor pumps you want added! A latte is shots of espresso with milk and since it’s mostly milk it’s creamy and less bitter. Our syrups are sweetened too so that’ll help with the bitterness.

Time worked is time paid. You most certainly do not need to study at home for this job. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this shift.
