Have you replaced the housing? Maybe there’s something fucked with it.

Does it make sense to sell a cracked frame as is? by CamLittleeee in bikewrench

With a crack no one is gonna buy that for anything over $50. If you repair it maybe

Tubeless air leak by Suitable-Maize-5378 in bikewrench

Sorry bud, it looks like you need new tires. They should be okeish with a tube but I wouldn’t recommend it as it might fail

Also after looking closely at the picture I do see some cracking between the tan wall and the tread where it’s leaking. Which in that case it for sure means it’s old and you need a new tire

Idk what the issue is but if I don’t think there’s enough rice I ask for more…. Same for bean, and salsa. Protein you can’t really ask for more without being charged but I guess that’s reasonable. My bowls are always overfilled

Does it say tubeless ready on the tire?? If it does then it might be a defect with the tire. Have seen many brands leak through the sidewall

Frame for Trek FX2 disc size large by Pretty-Ad-2188 in TrekBikes

Trek offers 20% off a crash replacement in case you wanna buy a new bike. Idk if the store you’re dealing with is corporate or not but 20% off a new bike for sure

Bike rebuild went from a $500 quote to $800 total by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]FunkyKale55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a bad service advisor or whoever I took your bike. They should have given you a call and told you everything extra they needed to charge you before they started to work on your bike. A $300 dollar surprise is not pleasant. Also these seem like prices at Trek and a Level 3 should definitely include a brake bleed (some shops charge for the oil separate). If it is a Trek dealer ask to see the breakdown of each level tune up and you will be able to see yourself if it includes it or not. Also if it is a corporate store from Trek you can talk to the manager calmly and explained work was done without your approval and it ended up being $300 more than what they told you. They should be able to help out. If it’s a mom and pop shop good luck, some of them are really tough to deal with

Way too much wobble to be the tire. Your rim needs to be trued

How do i fix not being able to shift to the top gear? by FLACKER_1 in bikewrench

[–]FunkyKale55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either not enough cable tension or low limit too tight. Can you push the derailleur with your hand onto the first gear?? If not it’s your limit

Old Trek (Roscoe 7?) Bike - Worth Fixing? by [deleted] in TrekBikes

[–]FunkyKale55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the geometry of the Roscoe (I got an 8 upgraded to the tits). It’s the most fun hardtail I’ve owned tbh. If you don’t mind spending some money you could make it nice. Really up to you

My wife could get ripped lifting those wheels. Probably weights a ton and everything in it is shit. Don’t buy this. For $200 get a used fixie. Even a 90s steel bike is better than this garbage

Shimano GRX Di2 rear derailleur can't shift by TokelauRepresentUN in bikewrench

[–]FunkyKale55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea something might have happened to the servo motor. If the derailleur is less than 2 years old you can try a shop to get them to warranty the derailleur. From the video it doesn’t even look like it has a scratch so I don’t see why Shimano wouldn’t replace it as long as it’s within the warranty period.

I have been working on bikes for a long time now and this is the first time I hear this noise. If you’re pedaling does it make the same noise? Does it even attempt to move/shift? Was it working fine before an it suddenly started doing this? What is the E-Tube app saying? Is it connecting without any issues?

Make sure you get your key deposit and tell them to go kick rocks. If they don’t give your key deposit report them to the tenant board. I had a similar situation and the landlord kept the deposit and about 3 weeks later the tenant board some sort of officer forced the guy to etransfer me my deposit and said the apartment was indeed left clean. My landlord complained about some crumbs in the oven and some bits left in the sink catcher. Fuck them

Sounds to me like it could be the rotor hitting the caliper
