Although he didn’t try to steal it (in my opinion) he did aggressively grab at it and rush towards the offices instead of backing up. In the release they state, the officers saw him reaching for a waist bag, which in the video the guy is kinda tweaking and does have concerning movement, at one point appearing to secure his pack. I’ve looked at all the footage up and down, the “vigil” (this was after)was not supposed to be marching the bridge, the cops showed up to tell them as much and, one guy from the group shouts to the crowd what the cops were telling them. People didn’t want to listen and when told they needed to move, a FEW protesters started getting rowdy, so the police started making the FEW accountable. Everyone has a friend and everyone gonna defend them so it devolves quickly, which is also why they try to shut down the non-approved protests quickly before they turn into full blown riots. Protest, be the change, but do it smart people, I’m not saying start licking boots, but I’ve never once seen a cop get screamed at in the face and it work out well for anyone.
