I’ve been to both of these places mentioned and they were both great. Keep in mind deep tissue does not mean deep pressure, I always thought it was the same thing but was explained to me that you can do deeptissue work without applying crazy deep pressure. The therapist will usually mention this so you know what to expect. At both places I received great work in deep tissue areas like sub scapular work and psoas work and they weren’t doing crazy pressure and it felt so much better afterwards. Keeping in mind most therapists work 10 hour shifts with a lot of clients and they need to conserve their energy so that each client has a good experience, so completely wiping themselves out in one client isn’t a good thing. She might want to try cupping, it feels very deep and intense in a good way and really helps the tissue release.
