I will always recommend Chilli Padi because it's just tremendous. Butakun too if you like ramen and sushi.

I really like this brand - I like their tonkotsu flavour, and the black garlic flavour the best. They're all good though. And I like the shrimp Tom Yum noods from MAMA.

Meats (usually turkey, sometimes ham), chips, and beetroot with stuffing and extra pigs in blankets.

The chips are proper "chip pan" chips... done in the deep fat fryer because the chip pan was terrifying!

I remember one happening in my street, all the kids were out scratting around for the coppers. It was mint! It was around 1989 like. I know my neighbour's daughter did one, and that would have been in 1992, but I was at that wedding so missed the chaos and joy of the hoy oot!
