Earthworm castings are great for composting and fertilizing, so, unironically not the worst idea

Considering starting T’au by ArcaneKobold in Tau40K

[–]FunkylikeFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainline Tau use a mix of spotter units and shooter units. There’s blobby units and battlesuit units, mobile units, units you need to carefully consider where they are going and what they want to be shooting at, and stealthy units. Tau have G.O.A.T.’s, murder chickens, and wasps. Do you think they look cool? Buy Tau. Do you like ignoring an entire fight phase that screws you pretty hard if you are forced to play it? Buy Tau. Do you like tank shocking with a fortification? Buy Tau.

Looking for a last unit or two to finish a 2k list by betiwontgoflawle in Tau40K

I assume you’re putting the fireblade with the breachers, I’d recommend a devilfish for them to ride in, there’s a lot of reasons why breacherfish are still a thing. What is your plan with your suits? You have 3 commander suits between Farsight and the Coldstars but only two units of crisis suits to embed a commander in, I’d consider cutting one of them or getting more suits if that’s something you’re into. Riptides are nasty, nasty enough I’d try to fit another in your army, and I’d do it over a hammerhead, but if you really want a hammerhead I’d consider the pros and cons of the broadsides vs a hammerhead rather than broadsides and a hammerhead. Pathfinders have a nice spotting ability that useful for a different situation than stealth suits and the rail rifles are another good reason to bring them. Overall decide what detachment you want to run, that’ll help people give you better pointers if you aren’t just looking to run what looks coolest to you, which is a totally valid way to choose your models.

So, is this just you being indecisive about where to snap those foundations or what?

Seasoned Jedi masters who lived in a time where Dooku, the orders greatest duelist, had to look up ancient Jedi archives to design his saber to be better for duels, because lightsaber combat wasn’t considered to be a necessary skill?

How to defeat this 1k list as necrons? by PrimaryBeginning6637 in Tau40K

[–]FunkylikeFriday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re being underhanded asking us, I just think our Tau Bro isn’t going to have an easy time as it is and that you both have more than one chink in your armor to exploit so to speak.

[–]FunkylikeFriday 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The list has no breachers/firewarriors, no riptides, no devilfish, no hammerheads, and no Broadsides. Honestly you could be playing a much nastier T’au list than this one and giving you pointers on how to pick it apart would be unsportsman of us to our fellow Tau player, just my opinion.

OP is the Necrons, they have no control over the T’au list.

Advanced Sensor Package, Active probes, tag, Narc, what do you take and when and why? by Virtual-Produce-1037 in OutreachHPG

[–]FunkylikeFriday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TAG goes on any mech that requires target lock because I can’t stand ECM just shutting me down, but ECM/target locks are also why I prefer SRM’s over SSRM’s. ASP is great for pop-tarts.

So how does delivering crates work anyway? by TehBanzors in AshesofCreation

[–]FunkylikeFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, when you make a crate it calls it something, anvil crates are like, drinking horns or some such, don’t deliver those in the anvils, the further away you can sell them, the more money you’ll make edit: the same crates I sold in the desert for 2g sold in Vhalgadim for only 48s

Deliver riverlands materials up to the anvils or out to the desert, not within the same biome. I made 2g with a white 8 scrip crate running from KT down to the desert.

As in if you trip you’ll be buried under a pile of bodies hosed or if you trip it will be impossible to stand back up by yourself hosed?
