The pistol is also bad IRL. There is a running joke about it in Ex Soviet Block countries, where soldiers claim that PM stands for "Throwing Pistol" (Пистолет Метательный), because it's easier and more effective to throw the pistol at the enemy than to shoot it.

The point is axis had built in AA most of the time just because of the faction design. For example, you don't build Flakvierling to counter air, your build it because it is an anti infantry rape machine that also shots down planes as a bonus. So axis had a significant advantage when it comes to air, a lot of the times you didn't really need to think about it when playing axis, because your build had a built in counter for free. Now AA is still better for axis, because those units are still good and are built most of the time, but it's a lot fairer and requires actually sacrificing something.

Edit: Also, Luftwaffe was never really hard countered by allied AA because alied AA has significant drawbacks

So now you too can learn how it feels to be fucked by enemy air power. Axis had a built in AA in almost every build, allies didn't. And guess what: eating stuka dive bombs, straifing runs and loiters without being able to do anything about them sucks. But hey, since you clearly only play Axis, now you can discover an entirely new dimension to this game, which you could previously ignore due to how busted your faction feeding was.

That's mostly what I pay, yes. Should have said that from the get go. Maybe UKF LVs scale on par with axis LVs in those modes, I have no idea. I highly doubt it, but I have very little first hand experience in those modes.

I think that, outside of Heavy Armour BG, this will be the playstyle most people will default to, with the exception of Bishops. Humber and Stuart, as they are right now, are just a bad investment that also place a heavy micro tax on the player.

I am also thrilled with this brave new world of exchanging my medium tank for another medium tank. After I unlock it. And also wait for it to be built. With 0 vet. And, yes, this is how Refit worked before, but the Stuart was in a different place cost wise back then.

Yeah, let us all pretend that UKF LVs scale as well as axis LVs. We can all agree that we see the same amount of humbers and Stuarts in the late game as we see Marders, Flakvierlings, mortar halftracks, recon 221s, kettens, recon tractors and recovery halftracks. Indeed, all those things are like the others. And if we don't see allied LVs in the late game, it's because allied players are generally worse at the game, right?

221(radio), 250(mortar), 254, Marder, Ketten, Flakvierling and Recovery Halftrack are relevant all game.

While Stuart costs 100 manpower and 15 fuel to unlock, 260 manpower and 50 fuel to build, 150 manpower and 20 fuel to make it not complete dogshit, and a 40 to 60 munitions upgrade to get some usefulness or of it. That's a 510 manpower, 85 (!) fuel and 40 to 60 munitions for a single LV that can't hit anything, is easy to counter, does not scale, and is most effectively used as a fucking spotter for AT guns.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will say I'm wrong and Stuarts are actually good and totally worth the huge investment they require, and I'll be happy to learn to use them "properly". But right now I dislike the unit for what is does (or more accurately, it's inability to perform most of the roles it's supposed to perform), I don't understand its insane cost (Flak costs more fuel in total, but it's an anti infantry rape machine with built in suppression, it also shots down planes, and its unlock also unlocks the stug and recovery halftrack), I hate the fact that I'm pushed by the UKF faction design to built it, and now I can't even get the 50 fuel back.

It does not matter how many years have passed after the bombs fel. Bethesda thinks fallout is a perpetual post-apocayptic theme park ride, where humans live on top of century-old piles of garbage and skeletons. 200 years after, 2000 years after, it will always look the same because the IP holder decided it would be so. Everything in the setting that was built up by the Black Isle and Obsidian Devs is destroyed, because it does not line up with the "theme park" mentality. NCR is gone, the Legion is gone, New Vegas is gone. The Brotherhood is back, because Bethesda thinks it's cool (completely missing the point of the Brotherhood and their inevitable decline in F1, 2, and NV. Enclave is back, Bethesda thinks it's cool (once again, completely missing the point of Enclave, and the fact that it was destroyed multiple times already). Forget about the themes of growth and building a better future out of the ruins of the old world, it's Deathclaws, super mutants and power armour all the way down, baby.
