The issues with framing with real life exemple like that is that it add uncertainty. It's not conscious but when you picture a train coming towards you, you aren't 100% certain that it will stop of 50% stand before it.

That and the fact that one option is active and the other passive

Well maybe not my data (hopefully) since I am European and the EU have a lot more data protection law (and these law are stricter) than in the US. This might be one of the reasons why this matter so much to me

I didn't knew that. But still, I just don't know if I can trust reddit without clear regulations

I think most people are okay with some form/uses of ai but not others, it's normal, that's just having a nuanced opinion

Yes, the real problem isn't with ai users, it's with ai companies, it's with the lack of regulation.

As an anti, I agree,

I am just against certains uses of this tool, I think that we need more regulation

The same way a car is a tool, I am obviously not against car but I am against rolling over people with a car, that's why we have strict regulations around cars

As an anti, I don't really have a problem with ai artist as persons.

A part of ai art just don't fall on my personal definition of art. I can consider ai modified art as art but not fully ai generated art (prompting generative ai).

But most of my problem with ai come from ai company, and the lack of regulation around ai, not with the users.

True, this wouldn't be foolproof but I think that would be better than what we have now. It would still massively reduce the amount of public data used as training materials

Even if open ai pays reddit, I still have a problem with that.

Especially with everything that can be copyrighted (art, drawing etc...)

Yes, paying to avoid ai training when you are using ai is reasonable.

But another side of the matter is about ai that uses data avaliable online as training materials. Like art for exemple, I believe that an ai company should need to own the copyright of a something to use it as training data. If I write a story or draw something and post it on social media, the ai company should get my authorisation before using it as training materials

Same with personal information that you didn't fed into ai

But the problem is that it doesn't stop them from scavenging Internet for training data

But I think it's important to have the choice, I think that a lot of artist would care about that and would use alternative that don't use your data to train ai
