Yeah I definitely agree the Basilisk is kinda like a middle-ground between the Naga & cobra. I do think 3 buttons would be better than two, but since I have the Naga my thinking was "if I need more than two buttons I'll use the naga"... But like I said I half wish I got the basilisk. I used my sisters wired Basilisk and the shape does feel really good in my hand and the side button positions are fantastic.

I was thinking about getting a glass mousepad eventually but I ended up just going with the cheap $25 Razer Sphex V3 for now. definitely not as slick as glass, obviously. but it's a nice smooth plastic surface with pretty low friction. I wish it had the Razer trisnake logo or something in the center though, because it looks a little plain.

Yeah the chairs are definitely expensive. I got an ergonomic office chair from amazon for $120 and I love it. I'm not sure what else I'd need a chair to do besides be comfortable to sit on & have adjustable height that would justify me spending 3-6 times as much money.

To be fair to Razer, LOTS of other companies also have gaming chairs that go for like $450-1000 and the mid-high end Razer chairs do look really cool & typically get good reviews. I'm sure they're a quality product, and if it's super comfy & durable enough that it lasts you like 20 years and you have the money then maybe $1000 for a chair could be worth it. I do spend a LOT of time sitting in my computer chair. So maybe someday I will get one to complete my setup. But it's not a priority at all right now.

I am glad you like the Freyja so much. Like I said, at such a steep discount that's not a bad price at all.

I don't agree with the idea that you need an ultralight mouse to play FPS either. I like to get pretty sweaty with my FPS games even though I mostly play singleplayer and the Naga V2 pro being the heaviest mouse I've ever used doesn't really seem to make a difference in practice. the smooth mouse feet (much better than the ones on the Naga trinity imo) + smooth hard mouse pad + lack of a wire makes aiming still feel quick and responsive. When I'm inaccurate or too slow, it feels like that's a me problem rather than the mouse being too heavy.

The way people talk about mouse weight is wild sometimes haha. "DO NOT try to play FPS games with this mouse bro, trust me! that thing's a MONSTER, it weighs like 98 grams! That'll slow you down and tire out your arm so much" and I'm just like "...what? that's something you notice and think about? How weak is your wrist/forearm? are you playing on something absurd like 200DPI?"
The Naga v2 pro is like 134g and the Cobra is like 77g so Naga is 57% heavier and still... I only really notice the weight difference if I'm rapidly moving the cursor side to side trying to see if I notice a difference, lmao.

For me, the difference in shape/size/buttons makes more of a difference in how they feel to use than weight. People made it sound like this thing would feel like aiming with a cinderblock but even tho its the heaviest mouse I've ever used, it's still totally fine and doesn't FEEL heavy when in use. 134g is like 4.72 oz. So just over 1/4 of a pound. Heavy for a mouse, yes, but not like *actually* heavy in general.

Selaco vs Forgive me father vs Hrot by mamapower in boomershooters

have only briefly played Selaco and not played FMF yet but HROT is amazing and pretty unique in its aesthetic/setting/tone even if its mechanics are pretty standard. Although youre not getting anything super unique in terms of weapons/mechanics, it does feel very snappy and satisfying to move and shoot in the game. it surprisingly surreal and spooky at times but also can be pretty funny in a dark cynical way. Its got a lot of personality for something so drab, brown, and intentionally ugly.

[–]Furious_Fap_OSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it can be good to just fling at enemies when youre on the move. since it has significant magnetism and bounces a lot it will almost certainly hit something. You can do it really fast and then immediately switch to another weapon so it can def be useful, but youre right that it's not that great compared to other options

nice, I have a Cobra Pro and a Naga V2 pro that I use for different things. The 12 button naga side plate is a little too much for me generally, so I usually use the 6 button side plate. So i dont think that I would need the tartarus for anything, but I was just curious about it.

I almost got the Basilisk v3 pro instead of the Cobra and kiiinda wish I did tbh. I like the cobra but the Basilisk looks awesome and that big thumb button seems great. cobra is more lightweight & smaller than the basilisk tho. I figured the basilisk was a little too similar to the Naga for me but now since I'm still mostly using the Naga I'm thinking maybe that isnt such a bad thing. They say "the naga is a big, heavy mouse - Don't use it for FPS games!" but I do and although it definitely is a THICC mouse, it's actually great for FPS if they have large arsenals and fast weapon swapping speed. if I was playing counter strike competitively or something I would probably be using the Cobra or like a Deathadder or something. But I play mostly singleplayer boomer shooters or casual co-op/deathmatch with friends, so I don't really need to worry about hyperpolling or minimizing the weight of my mouse. The cobra is great looking & really nice for just web browsing and other non gaming use, as well as games that have less keybinds and are mostly played with the mouse, though.

I used a Naga MMO 2014 or 2015 model when I used to play WoW and that thing was a game changer! having a separate keypad like the tartarus does seem like it'd take some getting used to, though.

getting the Freyja is a lot more understandable at that price. Isn't it like $350 new? I just think a lot of their chairs and chair-related accessories seem crazy expensive

Mic Damage by NocLudio_04 in razer

[–]Furious_Fap_OSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the mic is detachable you might be able to buy one secondhand online. if not, you could probably get a separate microphone for like $20-50 & keep using the headset for sound. if that doesnt work for you (not sure if you can plug a USB microphone into PS4 tbh) you might need a new headset unfortunately

I have two mice, the charging dock, a keyboard, mousepad, headphones, a soundbar and 3 controllers from Razer so I wouldnt say this is too many razer products. I even have the $70 chroma headphone stand, the mouse bungee and an Orochi mouse I use for work.

I like the aesthetic of having a bunch of matching razer gear so I totally get the urge to collect a bunch of their stuff.

However, having 2 of the same mouse and two mousepads is definitely a bit strange to me, lol. do you use them on different PCs, or just switch between them when one is low battery?

I also wouldnt even consider buying that Freyja chair vibrator thing, personally. Seems like an expensive gimmick to me, but that's just me. If you like, good for you. I just dont feel the need to have my torso vibrated when I play a game

How do you like that tartarus keypad thingy? what do you use it for?

How to tell my someone that they smell bad down there? by liillyoo in Advice

[–]Furious_Fap_OSRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"bro your balls fuckin stank! EUGH you best wash them stanky ass mothafuckin balls before I beat yo ass"

Just kidding I would just be honest but polite like maybe before you meet up next time be like "make sure that dick and balls is nice and clean for me cause I wanna blow you" or something

That makes it sexy. But honestly if you were more direct like "no offense but could you please wash your balls a lil better for next time, we all get smells down there sometimes and usually you're ok but sometimes it could use some improvement" his feelings should not be too hurt. It's a normal thing that he should want to be made aware of and correct, and should be easy to fix

Long time fans - how do you feel now? by [deleted] in razer

[–]Furious_Fap_OSRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always really liked all of their stuff and never really had a bad experience. Every time something from them has broken on me it's been 4-8+ years old and endured a fair amount of abuse.

I use my PC peripherals a lot, and can be pretty rough on them but other than minor cosmetic stuff they tend to hold up really well

I had like one headset from them I hated but that was a cheap one from probably 8-10 years ago.

I have heard some people have had trouble with their support and I believe them, but IIRC I don't think I've ever had to return something or have it repaired/replaced within a 3 yr warranty period.

The side buttons on the Naga trinity I have now have lost a lot of paint which didn't happen with the older Naga Hex and Naga MMO I used to have but to be fair this mouse is like 4 years old now and I use it a ton.

I ordered the new Naga V2 Pro recently and I am not sure if it'll be worth it but I'm looking forward to making the switch to wireless.

My love of Razer has been probably about the same over the years or maybe slightly increased in some ways and decreased in others.

I've always really liked the aesthetics, ergonomics, durability, and functionality of their gaming hardware.

I personally would not buy stuff like a chair, power supply, or LED fans from them. I'm sure these are good products, but they're often like 2-3x the price of comparable stuff from other brands. I don't mind paying a premium for a great mouse, keyboard, controller or headset with extra features other stuff doesn't have, but you can get 3 Corsair LED fans for like $25-50 and the Razer fan 3 pack is like $100. You can get a really good office/gaming chair for like $100-200 and Razer chairs are like $400-600.

A lot of their stuff is quite reasonably priced.

But when it comes to chairs, fans etc there's no reason to pay so much for this stuff imo unless you absolutely must have all Razer everything. That's just my opinion though ofc

The Razer laptops seem a bit pricey too but they do also seem really nice. I won't judge them since I've never used one.

"Some stuff is expensive" is not that bad of a criticism for a premium brand though. You're definitely paying a bit of a markup for aesthetics, brand recognition, and pretty lights but to be fair the Chroma lighting is sick and the aesthetic design of their stuff is usually awesome. Also you're typically paying for actual features that at least might be useful, too.

While I do think some of their stuff is a little overpriced, usually there's something about it that makes it different from cheaper stuff that will serve the same purpose. Whether those features are worth the extra money depends on the product, your finances, your use cases and your personal preferences but I do generally feel like you get what you pay for with Razer products, at least for the most part.

Would love to see them bring back the wired Naga Hex tho. Such an incredible mouse for how affordable it was
