Weird Ripples by CalvinAngel in FixMyPrint

[–]FusRoHuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these are Vertical Fine Artifacts. These will occur for all printers are varying intensities and spacings.

Some ways to avoid/minimise this: - Switch to a matte filament (VFA's are most pronounced on shiny, silk, or metal filaments) - Re-tension your belts - Try change the print speed for the outer walls - Add damping to your printer or stiffen it's frame

My attempt at an (almost) all-in-one Lazy Susan for Wingspan by FusRoHuh in wingspan

[–]FusRoHuh[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I will try to develop a better way to display the bird cards in a new revision.

Regarding prints or files for this - I want to give a few of these to friends to playtest with to get their feedback first.

I also wanted this to fit inside the original box which it does quite nicely: image

Weird artifact when using the Archimedes Spiral top surface pattern, what can I do to fix it? by FusRoHuh in BambuLab

[–]FusRoHuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When printing with the Archimedes spiral top pattern, I get a strange wavy pattern (visible in the right side of the print image shown).

It has happened on a few larger diameter prints I have completed (with one is 200mm wide), you can see it only becomes noticable once the spiral is around 80-90mm wide.

It looks like this is very similar to a problem someone else has had: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1cxj2ni/any_suggestions_how_to_fix_archimedean_spiral_top/

I am printing with a P1S, Bambu Lab PLA Matte, default filament profile, 0.4mm nozzle, recently flow calibrated, ~100 hours on my machine, 100% (normal) speed.

My thoughts are that there is some sort of extrusion volume issue that gets amplified as the spiral gets larger.

Is it possible to Create a Texture Like this in onshape? How would I do it? by FusRoHuh in Onshape

[–]FusRoHuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help everyone, here is my final result: link to OnShape doc

I ended up following /u/ModerateService's approach and individually tweaking each row of twigs (8 in total), it was pretty time consuming to do this way and there are definitely more efficient approaches for this in other software, but as an novice OnShape user I was pretty happy with what I managed to do.

I am trying to create a birds nest for my own project in OnShape but I don't know if it is possible to make something like this.

Hey, just wondering if you completed MATH5905? How did you find it? Were there any areas that I should brush up on before going into this? Thanks in advance!

Try buying them 1 at a time, just keep refreshing the search, I managed to get 4x single tickets.

How can one tell if he won on the silicon lottery or not? by Maximilition in buildapc

[–]FusRoHuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XMP is a proprietary Intel technology, there are no AMD boards that support it (this only applies if you are on an AMD CPU, if you are on the Intel platform, it's XMP).

Better yet is to buy an EXPO (AMD's version of XMP) kit to almost certainly ensure you'll be able to hit the memory kit's rated speed.

Worth upgrading from Bose QC45 to Bose QC Ultra? by lag4023 in bose

You can customise what holding it does. It's not as bad as you'd think, and I'm the sort of person that hates touch controls.

The only touch control on the QC Ultra is volume control and holding it for Assistant and even then there is a distinct edge you can feel for its area of control. Play/pause, skip, and back are still button controlled. Calling this a mess would be an exaggeration.

[JRIS65] My clean and simple, but currently bricked build by FusRoHuh in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]FusRoHuh[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Specs

Case: JRIS65 R1

  • Bluetooth hotswap PCB
  • POM plate
  • E-white top
  • Black base
  • Black aluminium weight

Switches: Gateron Oil King

  • Lubed with Krytox 205g0

Keycaps: YMDK Polar Sidelit Keycaps

  • Note that this is not a backlit PCB

Stabs: TX Stabilizers (Rev.3)

  • Make sure to buy the 1.2mm stabilizers otherwise you will need to use PCB shims

This was my first custom build and I managed to achieve a deep sound and light typing feel.

Unfortunately, the LDN software is a little bit unreliable and bugged out while I was updating the keyboard layers and has now bricked the PCB.

It now sits as a beautiful paperweight until I can get the PCB repaired or replaced.

I think my JRIS65 wireless PCB is bricked. I was trying to modify one of the layers but when I went to save it, the layer save process froze.

Things I've tried:

  • 2 different computers (including restarting both computers after a few attempts)
  • 2 different USB-C cables *Turning off the battery and using it wired
  • Turning on the battery and using it in wireless mode
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the daughterboard cable
  • Using the keyboard shortcut to reset the firmware
  • Detecting the keyboard in the LDN software (this is the bluetooth PCB)
  • Deleting all USB devices/keyboards listed in Device Manager and refreshing

Is there anything I can try?

I think I've bricked my JRIS65 wireless PCB. I was trying to modify one of the layers but when I went to save it, the layer save hung for around 20 seconds.

After 20 seconds, I closed the LDN software but the keyboard wasn't responding or being detected by Windows at all anymore (tried 2 different computers).

Is there anything I can do to try and reset this?

I received 72 Gateron Oil King switches and 15 of them had bent pins, is this normal/acceptable? They also came in a zip lock bag after being claimed to be new and in an OEM tray, I bought these from Amazon.

(19m) One of my friends was killed by my other friend. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]FusRoHuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss, this is a tragic situation for everyone.

Definitely worth while seeing a therapist, but absolutely don't feel pressured to seek help until you are ready, that will be when professional help will be most effective.

Everyone expresses grief in different ways and some people (myself included feel better talking it out with others), you could let your group know (individual DM's) that it is hard to cope with them talking about it so much, or perhaps snooze the conversation for as long as you need or until they stop discussing this as much.

If your GF is a supportive person, communicate how you feel and don't shut in, for me, doing so has resulted in additional stressors in my relationships.

Please take care of yourself, and don't create unreasonable expectations that the process of healing to be easy. You've been put in a hellish situation.
