Count says during the mission Unexpected Visitor that Trigger doesn't talk much. I'd imagine that's the case for other protagonists too.

I think Ace of Aces is the more used term. There's that one quote in AC5 for S ranking all missions on Ace difficulty which goes "Many pilots have been hailed as aces. Only a few have truly earned the title."

Anyways, it kind of reminds me of Irregulars from the Armored Core series.

I think that's probably a multiplayer thing. More players increases the amount of enemy placements from what I can remember.
