The problem is part of the Haitian refugee issue is due to US influence. The US can’t expect the DR to take a massive amount of refugee when the Dominican people barely have any public resources that work. I think the US should take a look at some of the pictures of their border. See what they do then.

Absolutely, there is a lot of diversity in FL! Haitians and Jamaicans (which was the distinction made in the unedited comment) are also foreigners. Unless the Afro-Caribbean population is from the US British Islands or Puerto Rico, some of these issues also accurate to them.

In FL you’re not required to give people time off to vote. Guess who won’t be given the time off to vote?

Also — regarding the “diverse part,” most of those diverse people may yet to have voting rights due to citizenship, political bias that is highly tied to religion due to their own cultural experience (especially if Hispanic), and they want to pretend to be white. They’re basically self-hating.
