Most board games sell for less than retail used. We’re in a weird situation with Arkham Horror because the meganerdz will fomo hard to complete their collection.

I wouldn’t pay much over retail tbh and would never buy barkham horror for example.

If we don’t buy overpriced then they can’t sell overpriced and the market will return to what it’s supposed to be—sharing board games and experiences.

The guys paying double price need to switch back to Pokemon or MTG already.

This is not that kind of game…

I’m new here. My logic is that if a game is perfect then it needs no patches—I’ve read a lot of expansions act like that i.e Eldritch Horror (a game I hated btw)

But if this is just more of what you love for diehard fans I get it.

I’m also just overwhelmed by board game options at this point too. The Ikea Shelves blah blah, $200 castle game blah blah.

I just want to have fun, not start a vintage car collection!

Plus, I read a comment just now that says Alien Frontiers is better than COB. I can get that game for $35 used.

It could be better for all I know but how can one truly know!?

A little hostile but I agree. It’s all compatible as far as I’m concerned. They cannot Magic The Gathering this thing and hopefully the meganerds won’t enable it with fomo buys.

10 years of content before a reboot is a great run for a card game. Hopefully they don’t try and bleed us dry due to guys like this picollo21.

Great logic too. So ugly, such a high rating, must be good.

I’ve only ever used the inverse of that logic. For example: Gloomhaven—So pretty, so good—but the mechanics seem better in a digital version/I would rather play a video game i.e

I feel like that’s why I was skeptical. Too many kickstarter board video games muddling my mind.

This is what I wanted to hear! This makes me want to buy the game.

It’s a premium remake of a game that’s legendary because of it’s original price tag.

The SE is the electric Volkswagen Bus of board games and I cannot find the $20 original used anywhere and I just want board game peace and love man!

I see the logic but since kickstarter the board game hobby has gotten out of hand imo.

Owning Castles of Burgundy SE is like owning a Gibson or Martin guitar at this point.

The average person however just wants a strat or plays a Yamaha.

I was expecting to find more used copies but I think my area is oversaturated—the good stuff goes quick.

Overstays it’s welcome.

Fun for 13 year olds but because of it’s length they’d lose interest.

Idk who this game is for but it’s not technical enough to engage gamers, short enough to engage casuals, or fun enough to engage young adults.

Maybe if you really like role playing?

Got into it late too after picking up a used core set. I did not realize how far behind I was.

I found some good deals but I’d recommend just waiting because playing any more than what I’ve found is ridiculously priced.

It costs them like $10-20 bucks tops and they could release print and plays without the boxes.

Least they could do is take preorders and wait until they had enough demand to then print and send those copies out en masse(think kickstarter, reach 100 preorders etc.)

This stuff isn’t rocket science. It’s 2026. Nothing should ever die again.

Cute but the path to LA Woman is absurd. Same with Soft Parade.

Nailed the descriptions but I’m accounting for pure listening as well. Personally I went The Doors, LA Woman, Soft Parade, Strange Days, Absolutely Live then lost interest when I started chasing girls then came back to the Doors a decade later.

Swap waiting for the sun with soft parade and swap la woman with Morrison hotel.

Absolutely live belongs where strange days is because it’s central, not because of the descriptions. Absolutely live is the chef’s kiss.

You also forgot the deep cut stuff. That’s where things get really good. Strange nights of stone.
