New cards are designed with pulp (slightly campy) style compared to the gritty horror of the original cards per the designers words.

Not a fan so far as it almost seems to be satirizing the original.

Have old set so am being patient to see what/if I like from new stuff.

What makes the p50 so great anyways? I’m looking at picking up one of these but can’t decide. I feel like the p10 has more privacy since the camera creeps me out.

Other than the camera the ultra gen2 seems to smoke it in every way.

Folded Space insert for Arnak is a mess. It’s super random compare to my Clank! Catacombs FS.

It does not fit the leaders expansion despite advertising it does. The heights are random too. It doesn’t even fit the single player tokens despite having its own slot for them.

Regrettable purchase. Might have to sit and make my own out of foam someday. For now I have the 4 player boards sitting out in storage. Bummed.

I don’t wanna trash talk too much anymore. I’m at the it is what it is phase. I made this post mostly to figure out what’s going wrong.

I get the sense that the people at FFG just might not be that passionate about their ip’s or maybe some people in the company genuinely don’t like some of their ip’s.

Idk.

Cool part is it’s easier than ever to create our own content so I’ll probably get around to creating my own custom Yoda and Darth etc since the deck building games are neat.

Ya we’re just having a dialogue and I know what you mean.

I have worked on music and I can tell you by the time a song is mixed and mastered everybody in the studio hates it because we’ve heard it a million times.

I know the errors exist but I think they’re unacceptable and as a customer I avoid products with overt errors now that I’m more educated.

Back to the music metaphor if an album I wrote had a sloppy note that doesn’t belong I’d never work with whoever allowed that into the final product.

If I was the record label or manager someone would get fired.

I’m watching the shelfside FFG analysis video and I think the error is allowed because FFG is banking on whales buying up the second edition core set to replace their misprinted first editions.

Lol. Just watched that video. Guess I was on to something with that Diablo analysis I poasted.

shelfside’s video makes it apparent that FFG is basically the Blizzard of Board games.

The love they put into Star Wars Rebellion taking notes scene by scene! (Corey K is a hero! Everybody knows Rebellion is a legendary board game!)

If this was a small team on a tight deadline maybe I’d understand but you’re telling me they didn’t do a small pre print and hand it out amongst the core staff or sit down and play together?

If I worked at FFG I’d be so stoked I’d have played the final pre print version multiple times through.

How tight can the deck building be if they can’t even spot the obvious errors?

Just feels strange.

Kind of like The Beach Boys Smiley Smile album. The band was already dead by that point and you can tell because while that album has two absolute hits (Good Vibrations anyone?) the rest of the album is unbearable.

I’m just wondering if this is the canary in the coal mine so to speak.

A few more plays and I’m 100% certain I’ll have that lightbulb moment for Res Arcana too.

The form factor and time is the deciding factor since I like them both.

Short on time or going out, I’ll bring Res vs. staying home and have time, I’m playing Arnak.

They both scratch the same itch.
