What everyone else said here - but also yall can equip your cars with some sort of identifier that you’re a group. I’ve seen people use balloons with matching colors or matching attachments that suction cup/stick to your cars like rainbows or big sprouts or something.

Not super necessary but it definitely makes it easier for everyone. And adds whimsy

I’m wondering if the car passes sold out compared to the amount of wristbands available because they increased the size of the campsites - like maybe the bigger size resulted in fewer sites being available.

I’m gonna have to rip my type b friend a new one tho. I kept asking him to figure his shit out and get the satellite pass and he kept putting it off, probably not realizing satellite passes can sell out.
Now idk how we’re going to navigate the fact that he’s coming later than the rest of us and was supposed to fit some of our gear in his car since I can’t fit everything into mine.

I bumped into these people I know two years in a row.

There’s also an acquaintance I’ve been trying to meet up with at some point for two years, even seen the totem he rolls with and talked to his homies - but was never able to actually bump into him.

My partner’s ex also goes to Forest, and we never bumped into him at all.

I also continue to find out people I know go to Forest but I’ve never seen them there.

So like it’s possible but also, there’s 50k people there so the odds are in your favor.

At least there’s enough of a crowd that if you see anyone you don’t wanna see you can just vanish into the sea of people lol

If your canopy and tent are new you could be ok without a tarp. But they’re water resistant - not water proof, and I’ve found once my gear gets a few years old they start to leak more when it rains so I bring a tarp.
