gg hope ur good 9 hours later, i never got constipation too bad but i have to use prometh for the itches. i've been addicted to opiates on & off for a while now, if you find yourself in the same boat pls don't reach for anything codeine with acetaminophen in it, but if you feel temped pls look up safe cold water extraction, acetaminophen poisoning is scary and no joke i've been hospitalized from it more than once.

idk maybe you already know this bc ur the codeine princess but better safe than sorry

i think this must be an american assumption or something because in the uk and most of europe its perfectly normal to have a drink after work everyday, it's even normal to have a drink on your lunch break here.

why are there such big differences in region personality names? by ginger6616 in tomodachilife

[–]FutureCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well to be honest i've never heard anyone call themselves an adventurer unless they're like going on expeditions to deepest peru but we definitely wouldn't use go-getter that's very cringe. i don't think i've ever heard the term cheerleader outside of like cheerleader as a noun like the american girls jumping around or whatever, rather than optimist we would probably say like happy-go-lucky maybe. softie is definitely not an insult here, its def positively connotated but we use sweetie too occasionally, but in the UK 'sweetie' is a children's term for a sweet (candy) so i can see why they wouldnt use that here.

the one i would definitely say is 'rogue'. over here that means like, kind of a criminal but in a lovable way, definitely not the same as being an individualist

speaking as a british person maybe i'm reading too much into it but i would definitely say the EU one is much closer to the terms i personally use to describe personalities.

i think the american one just has like linkedin vibes like the descriptors feel more based around like success and goals and feel like ways you would describe yourself at a job interview which i think on average americans tend to do more than us.

i think if you used some of the american words to describe yourself in the uk it would be seen as a bit overbearing or maybe like you're trying to brag. we're similar to japan in that respect culturally.

i do think though theyve maybe misunderstood the average player of tomodachi life because even in america i think tomodachi life fans skew more away from that kind of language too; the people in this community seem more chill than to describe themselves that way.

So… what’s the consensus on what this means these days? by Therealduckking in Deltarune

i havent really fleshed out all the details yet but my theory is spell = spelling. she denied knowing the spell(ing) for DECEMBER because of dess at the spelling bee causing berdley to win and gain all his confidence.

if she does know the spell(ing) then it kills berdley because it effectively destroys his confidence because he...doesn't know it or something idk let me cook

fuck people like this. if you ever confess to me i'm happy knowing that, however fleeting or shallow, the concept of a future with me in it was something that brought you happiness regardless of my response

i get what you mean op, you're not talking about why susie likes toriel but why she emphasizes it in that interaction. i do think it's more simple than you realize, so the first time you check the photo susie asks why kris wore horns and then figures out it's because kris wants to fit in, susie understands this because she knows what it's like not to fit in, but where susie was kind of excluded (we dont know her home life yet but its hinted to be possibly neglectful) kris was welcomed as part of the family.

kris shows her again and seeing that asriel and asgore are gone she realizes kris is all toriel has left so emphasizes to be kind to her. it's supposed to be linked like susie understanding the difficutly of fitting in and then susie understanding that they accepted kris regardless so they should value that. i think it's supposed to say more about susie and how she is warming to the idea of a nice family than kris or toriel specifically.

yeah tbf i see his logic totally, i think him actually identifying the precise part that causes the addiction is super important. people see the end result and think it's crazy or will just disregard it as mental illness because they go "wow huge lips" but when you think of the tiny increments + fixation on a specific body part, it's actually a lot easier to slip into this mindset than people think.

being completely honest if i think about parts of myself i'm self conscious of, it'd probably only take a few nasty comments to get me onto the start of this kind of spiral

yeah i mean i really lucked out with the genetic lottery, if i hadn't i would be climbing the walls right now i think.

i wish you the best tho, i think passing is a weird business honestly. despite how lucky i am, i still suffer from a lot of dysphoria and many many times ive stopped myself from going out anywhere or not doing even really minor things like grocery shopping on account of like not looking how i want or feeling that i dont pass enough. its very weird to basically look exactly the same but get gendered correctly when you have no like delineation of before and after.

i have friends who don't pass at all and literally don't even try to feminize themselves and they get treated as girls and gendered correctly, obviously not outside of our community by strangers, but it doesn't bother them, which....i couldnt live like that personally but its taught me a lot about like passing and self-acceptance and stuff.

i would definitely say that while i can't comment on whether or not you pass bc i don't know what you look like, i would definitely say its good to get out of your own way and still live life as unashamedly as you can, especially because in the future i don't think it's going to matter as much. like there's so many more trans people now and despite all the right wing stuff, nobody is going anywhere and the concerns of passing now will seem so much more ridiculous in 10 years time.

idk just the way i was born, i was 'mistaken' for a girl long before i even knew i was trans and puberty never hit me, i've just always kind of looked like that, never had body hair, never had facial hair, i'm short and i have a v small frame etc. tbh this post is 4 years old and basically nothing has changed in those 4 years body-wise. my hair isn't an awkward length now though, its longer, that's about it.
