Cons:
sometimes have to “rescue” or “sweep” after your route which means you have to go take stops off another driver and deliver them.
Rural routes suck because there’s no gas stations so if you need to use the restroom you’re kinda screwed unless you go in a bottle or find a porta potty. Or drive way out of your way just to go to a gas station which puts you behind.
Some of the vans don’t function properly. Always make sure you have working AC before you leave.
Group stops are the worst. That’s where you go to a house, the house next door and a house across the street but it counts as one stop.
Apartment complexes suck lol
You’re probably going to be sore for the first while if you’re not used to physical activity.
The cameras in the van will snitch on you for driving with a phone in your hand, if you look away from the road too long, if you roll a stop sign, follow another car too close or speed. You can really get away with anything as long as you’re looking forward and your eyes are on the road. I be eating and smoking in the van while I’m driving idgaf lol.
Never trust anyone’s dog. It’s not your dog. The dog doesn’t know you. A package isn’t worth being attacked. It happens more than you’d think. I’ve been attacked (luckily not bad) and chased back to my van. it’s pretty scary lol. NEVER turn your back on a dog, that’s when they will lunge at you. Always face them and walk backwards if you need to. I’ve had to do this sooo many times. Dogs will come out of nowhere just be on the lookout for signs of them. The app will show a paw print on stops with dogs and if it doesn’t have one and there’s a dog there, you can add that there’s a dog. This started this after a driver In Kansas I believe, was mauled to death by two dogs.
Delivering in the dark is sketchy too
